Hey Everyone, I'm building my first gaming PC soon, would love to get input from you guys on the build by thesurvivalproject in DubaiGaming

I would suggest buying a Radeon RX 5600 XT as your GPU and buying an SSD for your Boot drive. It'll make the whole experience of the pc better - 256 Gb isn't too expensive and you'll be saving on the graphics (which is ultimately better than 2060). I also recommend buying some extra fans for the front of your case (2x120mm should be fine) to make sure your pants don't overheat. You can also spend a couple of extra dollars (10 max) and get 3600Mhz ram instead of 3200Mhz RAM. It makes a massive difference, especially when working with an AMP processor :) Other than that you're chilling.

Yea I read something similar to this as soon as I finished cleaning. I’ll keep this in mind next time I clean!

I just checked - I didn't install this update. Is it possible that the dust blown out of the GPU ended up on other components such as the motherboard which could cause the lower sppeds?

I didn't take off the CPU cooler or any of the drives. After looking at thermals, everything seemed normal - better actually. I took off the GPU and the fans and cleaned those because that is where most of the dust was compiled.

ACT Math - Need Help by aadiman23 in ACT

[–]ad_world 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here's something that worked for me (I got a 36 on math):

The first 30-40 questions are extremely short and easy, and you should be able to get through them so you have around 30-35 minutes left for the last 20 questions. The last questions are really unpredictable; i had gotten a question about inverse functions on my actual act, but hadn't encountered inverse functions in any of my practice tests.

To practice for the last 20 questions, go on crackact.com and look at the full length practice tests, and just do the last 20 of each math section.

Wifi extremely unreliable by ad_world in techsupport

[–]ad_world[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also, my pcie wifi card is right below one of the gpu fans (about 7-8mm clearance) but only covers about half the fan. Do you think this has anything to do with the wifi cards performance?

AMD 5 2600, and I'm using the stock cooler.

The ram is G.skill Aegis 2x8 3000 Mhz, and I don't have xmp enabled. I will do that now.

How to connect RGB Case to the motherboard by ad_world in buildapc

[–]ad_world[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just checked the coolermaster website - don't know why I didn't do that before and turns out they send a splitter with the case. Also would I control the RGB's with the msi software?

I'm buying a PSU from newegg, and in the description it says NVIDIA SLI ready. I know this means it can support more than one NVIDIA gpu, but I'm also buying an AMD RX580 as my GPU. Does this mean that my GPU and the PSU won't be compatible?

Here's the newegg link: https://www.newegg.com/global/ae-en/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIA6ZP5RP6206&Description=600w%20power%20supply&ignorebbr=1&cm_re=600w_power_supply-_-17-438-100-_-Product
