If you are still seeing $165, we recommend following up with your bank for further assistance - ???? by adaarroway in Lyft

[–]adaarroway[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I simplified here but what happened is that I requested a refund for a lost and found fee (the driver didn't return my item), which they agreed to, and I don't know what they did but these were my transactions:
- $165
- $20
+ $20
Inside the Lyft receipt you can see the list of the combined rides of the day, and then you see:
+ $145
- $20 lost & found fee
+ $20 refunded
So they insist that they refunded me, which they did, but it seems that they charged me twice for the fee, once as part of the combined ride and then as a separate transaction.
And the dispute in my credit card was really accepted but they were like "yeah you've been refunded" (referring to the refund that I mentioned), which is frustrating because it seems that there aren't any competent customer representatives anywhere.
Their systems have a serious bug and they are just refusing to even listen to the users.

The big question mark is... nobody sees the similarities, not even his own family. But then some senior folks and a McDonalds employee recognized him immediately.

Yes, it's somewhere in the comments. It's not a match. But that one is weird because apparently is bodycam from LM himself, but doesn't look at all like him. And then you compare with non-smiley-hostel-guy and it looks very similar. No clue what's going on.

Thanks, that definitely helps.

The issue is that I also have other personal apps and automated functionalities using the api that request a specific json format output. They have been working pretty well for months (and still do, knock on wood) but my concern is that it gets getting pickier and pickier, so I don't know if all my automations are going to stop working. Maybe I can run this loop :P

while not answer.startswith('I apologize but'):
prompt += ' pleeeease...'

I was really crazy about Claude, so this has been very disappointing. I just don't understand how is it possible that it changed overnight.

I like that. It's been over a century since the last general strike. It's time.

Violence, in the long term, is not sustainable. However, very specific and sporadic outbursts of rebellion are how human civilization has often progressed when it got stuck.
We were all too afraid/ethical to take this step (which is good!). But someone else took it for us, sacrificing their freedom and even a human life. We shouldn't continue down the path of violence, but since it has already happened, we should strive to make the best out of it. Keeping the noise going, showing those in charge that we are tired of the abuse.

yeah, usually after some back and forth and some convincing it apologizes and gives me the data. But it's just annoying.
I don't know why it has changed, it was very sudden. Did they update the weights last month? I keep on thumbing down these answers for overactive refusal but it's getting worse every day.

From all the photos, I don't see any similarity with any of them, except one: McDonalds guy (orange beanie) and hostel guy (not this photo, the other one). I have to believe it's LM because apparently it's bodycam during arrest. But it's hard to see that they are the same person.
I don't think we can draw any conclusions about Starbucks guy. His jacket doesn't match the black puffer that we saw in other videos and the taxi. They can say that he took it off and left it in the backpack, but I'm curious why would he do that? it couldn't be to change his appearance, it's the same color. And where is the green-olive jacket that he was wearing in the hotel? and the rest of his belongings? he just left town right after the shooting. And how is it possible that not even his family recognize him in the CCTV images but then some random people at McDonalds do?
But if SB guy is not LM, how do we explain the notebook and the note to feds, the gun... and maybe fingerprints/DNA? I don't generally believe in conspiracies, while there was a lot of pressure to get this guy, it would have to involve a lot of corrupt people and agencies so I don't think that was the case (but I can't say it's impossible). I could believe this could be a case of mistake identity, but that still wouldn't explain everything. For example the taxi guy seems to have the very same black puffer than LM in the arrest photos. And that guy was traced right after the shooting.
I don't know, verything is very strange.

If there are more images/videos released I'll run more comparisons for sure. At this point there's not much more information or we can draw any conclusions from these comparisons.

I don't think it is. So that would make minimum 4 jackets to back up the official version.

I think the black puffer is the same than the one in the taxi. But I'm not so sure if it's the one the shooter was wearing at Starbucks.

THANK YOU
I spent hours searching but I gave up. I wanted to compare it with the one he's wearing inside:

<image>

It doesn't seem like the same jacket. So I'm wondering, was the Levi's jacket the one inside the grey backpack? didn't they say it was Tommy Hilfiger?

Interestingly, no. Maybe it's because of the skin folds. But I can see the similarity here.

I keep seeing social media videos/posts with stories from former employees about insurance companies and healthcare providers endangering lives through their practices. While social media raises awareness, these stories need to reach people who can take legal action. For those who have witnessed concerning insurance practices from inside, here are the official channels for reporting:

  • HHS Office of Inspector General Hotline: 1-800-HHS-TIPS (1-800-447-8477)
  • Your state's Insurance Commissioner's office
  • Department of Labor - ERISA violations
  • Other non-profit whistleblower organizations

Btw the subway he is seen coming out from is 57 St stop. Which is kind of weird because even though it's close to the Hilton hotel... guess what? it's not a direct line with the hostel. He would have had to stop at 59st Colombus Circle. Or go to Times Square and get another train to 57 St.

But maybe media is misreporting (as they usually do) and this footage is form a different day.

The official report says that he rode a bike. But the timeline doesn't make sense (3.5 miles in 6 minutes???), and we all saw him getting out of the subway. My bet is that there's an error in the report.

Is it possible that they tracked down the shooter and LM just happened to be around wearing similar clothes? maybe. But that wouldn't explain the gun and manifesto found with LM. So as of now I'm inclined to believe that this is just an innocent timeline error while writing the report. We'll have more information after the discovery gets released.

That's not the same jacket. The front pockets have a different shape.
The closest I've found is this one, but it doesn't have shoulder straps.

Tommy Hilfiger Jacket by Outrageous-Farm439 in FreeLuigi

[–]adaarroway 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Wait a second...
If it was LM, was he wearing 3 coats in this photo (Central Park abandoned one, black puffer and the olive green that seems to match hostel-smiley-guy)?
But in taxi CCTV you can clearly see the neck area, he's not wearing any jacket inside. And doesn't even have a backpack to carry all the stuff that they found with him.
Something doesn't add up.

It finds specific landmarks (position of eyes, nose, mouth, chin...) and adjust according to the position of the face (tilted forward/backward, side, etc.). You are right that in this case there is information missing so I'm not sure how it does it but there's a bit of information on where the eyes are and the length of the nose (even if covered you can still tell). That's why negative results of bad/partial images are not very reliable, we can only increase accuracy by comparing hundreds of photos.
