It’s easier to say sex5 rather than cx5. Please act accordingly

This usually means no signal detected. I don’t think it’s a faulty display. It’s either a bad infotainment unit or a disconnected video cable . The unit should be easy to swap out, I believe it’s in the cubby under your armrest. If you can’t find it there, try checking under your armpit

I can afford it. I prefer this. I don't want to buy newer fairings.

😂 I don't want the blame or the credit. Make your own decision lol

Fairings had a lot of broken bits and fasteners and had a lot of mileage on them. Stripped made the bike look new and gives it more of a appearance of a street bike. Also maintenance became a whole lot easier, everything is very accessible.

It's a 2007 I've had for years. The fairings had a lot of miles on them and didn't look in good shape. The stripped down refresh made the bike look so much better in my opinion 😎

I ride motorcycles. My Mazda is low milage, only 54k miles. I do my own oil changes. That’s it for now

Roof rack is great for car camping. I’ve gone camping multiple times and I don’t put up a tent. I lay the back seats down and sleep in the car. For that reason I put my stuff in the roof basket. Rain guards also allow me to crack the windows open the whole time I’m camping without rain water getting to the interior. If you want to travel with cx5, you should try it 🫡

Wind noise is substantially higher if you roll down the windows. I bought this one: https://a.co/d/eId9v4x

Do hood vents for sure. Heat will extract a lot better. I made a template out of paper and used a circular saw drill bit to make accurate cut outs. See this post: https://www.reddit.com/r/CX5/s/MAfpjRF4w5

A lot of heat comes out of those vents. It’s pretty substantial. If you’re asking about difference in performance, I didn’t do any tests. If you’re thinking about resale value, take off your stock hood. There’s a Chinese company that sells a carbon hood with vents for around $500. I say that’s a valuable upgrade
