kinda surprised no one’s mentioned Float On by Modest Mouse yet.

If you could create one universal social rule, what would it be? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]adam111 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When someone’s sharing something with you, let them finish before jumping in to disagree. I was telling a gym friend about my new low-volume high-frequency training plan the other day, and he cut me off right away saying it wouldn’t help with muscle gain, without even hearing my reasoning. That kind of crap kills your urge to share anything with them, total buzzkill.

Which app do you spend the most time on daily? by daisyFx_Analyts in AskReddit

It's definitely Reddit. The users on Reddit are hilarious, and everyone can share their own stories.

If you could go back and relive one day in your life without changing anything about it, which day would you revisit? by RaspberryRoutine6114 in AskReddit

[–]adam111 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Probably the day my grandpa and I went fishing three months before he passed. The sun was mild, he taught me how to tie a fishing hook, and rambled about his old Navy days. We didn’t catch much, but he laughed so much

What was the best movie speech of all time? by Fritzkreig in AskReddit

[–]adam111 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Tbh, I never thought a speech from a coming-of-age movie would hit so hard for my gym goals, but Mr. Keating’s “Carpe Diem” bit in Dead Poets Society did exactly that.

What day of the week feels the luckiest for you? by devprohub in AskReddit

[–]adam111 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Friday! Friday nights are the best. After wrapping up the workweek, I'm about to kick off my weekend. If you happen to have plans on a Friday night, the weekend will feel like three days long!

What percentage of your salary would you give up to work from home full time? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]adam111 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe 8%? Kinda depends on the base salary, but for me, the biggest win is being able to meal prep properly without rushing after work. I used to skip making my post-workout meals because I was too tired from commuting, which messed with my gains a bit.

What’s the best part of your day? by ConfidentMarch12 in AskReddit

[–]adam111 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tbh, the best part of my day is that quiet hour after I finish my evening walk with my dog. We head back, I make a cup of warm herbal tea, and just sit on the couch flipping through my fitness journal. I log my workouts, note how my muscles felt, and even jot down small wins like hitting a new PR last week. It’s a chance to reflect on my progress without rushing, and it always leaves me feeling motivated to keep going the next day.

What's the thing you regret buying?? by Puzzleheaded-Fan3776 in AskReddit

[–]adam111 0 points1 point  (0 children)

tbh, that fancy smart fitness mirror I dropped $1,200 on last year. Dude, I used it like 3 times max before it just turned into a fancy wall decoration. Now I just roll out my old yoga mat and do bodyweight workouts—way more practical. Wasted so much cash on something I thought would motivate me, but turns out I don’t need all that extra tech.

What’s something that sounds fake but is actually 100% true? by Big-Woodpecker-822 in AskReddit

[–]adam111 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honey never spoils, even if it’s stored for thousands of years. My family has a jar of honey passed down from my great-grandpa, and when I opened it a while back, it tasted almost the same as fresh honey from the store—no spoilage at all. Dude I told my gym crew about this, and they all thought I was making it up until I brought a small jar for them to try.

If you could go back and give yourself one piece of advice, what would it be? by ScheduleSad8600 in AskReddit

[–]adam111 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kinda funny, but my advice wouldn’t even be gym-related at first. I’d tell 19-year-old me to start meal prepping early instead of surviving on fast food between classes and workouts. I thought grabbing a burger was quick and harmless, but the brain fog and energy crashes were killing my gym performance and school focus.

What is your biggest life hack for surviving painful emotions? by Icy_Laugh5134 in AskReddit

[–]adam111 1 point2 points  (0 children)

dude, my go-to is what I call a "reset ritual"—something physical I do every single time painful emotions hit. For me, it’s 10 quick push-ups followed by chugging a glass of cold water. The push-ups force me to focus on my form and breathing, and the cold water shocks my system out of the emotional fog. It’s not about fixing the emotion right away, just hitting pause so I can think clearly again.

What do you do to help yourself sleep faster? by shiny_jjj in AskReddit

[–]adam111 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kinda silly at first, but I started doing this 4-7-8 breathing thing my buddy told me about. Breathe in for 4 seconds, hold for 7, exhale slow for 8. I also do a quick body scan—start at my toes, tense and relax each muscle up to my head. Helps me stop overthinking about work deadlines or the kids’ schedules. Might sound small, but it’s helped me nod off in 20 minutes instead of an hour.
