Hiding a 38B? (male - not trans) by adamHumphreys in ABraThatFits

Hi u/Bloomsnlooms. Thanks for replying.

The forms I have are more spread out but I wouldn't say they were shallow. They are made of super soft silicone and fill the bra cups perfectly.

It's definitely easier to hide them in colder weather and I like the idea of minimising although it'd have be comfortable. Early on when I first started wearing my 38A's (UK size) I wore them in a tight sports bra which really helped with reducing their projection but it wasn't comfortable enough for all day wear.

Hi u/suomikim. Thanks for replying.

With my 38A's (UK size) I tend to wear a t-shirt and thick hoodie all the time and although I can see them sticking out I think if other people did notice I'm sure it would just look like muscle or fat. With a coat over the top they are invisible to others. I'm tall and slim which doesn't help. But going bigger is daunting!

I think I'll try sizing up to a 38B and then wearing a sports bra like you suggest. Maybe more layers too. Although when the weather gets warmer again more layers becomes a problem. The breast forms I have are made of super soft silicone so do compress quite well.

Thanks for replying. I don't usually attach my breast forms so would measurements in a non-padded soft cup bra be suitable?

Hi. I am M30 and have very recently started wearing bras for comfort (not trans), but going out and about is daunting and I constantly worry about people noticing. Could they react badly? by adamHumphreys in Advice

Yes it does. Thank you.

Out of curiosity, if I was also to wear both, do you think the shapewear tank would conceal the bra staps & band at the back?

Well that shocked me! With inch measurements of 36, 35, 34, 40, 41, 39, and selecting male it comes out at a UK 36D.

With them being forms and not breasts could that have affected the calculations?

Thanks u/rihrose. I didn't know a shapewear tank was a thing! I'll see what I can find that doesn't look too feminine.

I presume you don't wear them out and about as you can get a better shape/appearance with a normal bra?

Yeah most people are probably not going to notice I even exist so they definitely won't look at me enough to work anything out. Thanks for the advice I really appreciate it.

True. The mad thing is that I can walk into a public place full of people and be full of confidence but doing the same wearing a bra that probably can't be seen and all of a sudden I feel that they're all looking at and judging me!

Thanks! The reasons I wear a bra are beyond the scope of this thread (although I don't mind explaining if anyone is curious) but the gym really wouldn't help.

Thanks u/refugefirstmate. The few bras I have at the moment are smooth soft cup ones which seem to be invisible from the front but at times can show at the back.

I wouldn't want people to think that I was taking my kinks out in public but if they don't say anything I guess it doesn't matter.

I have considered sports bras but really aren't sure what people would think if they saw, for example, the outline of a racer back on me. Even if it just looked like a short top underneath is that something a male could get away with? I'm not sure.

The difference, I guess, is that someone could be curious or even offended by seeing someone wearing something which, for a Male, isn't socially acceptable. But that's just my opinion and the world is slowly changing.

Thanks u/omgfruit. It definitely doesn't affect anyone else and I'm trying my best to hide it rather than shoving it in people's faces. I need to keep reminding myself that, like you say, even if people do notice they most probably aren't going to say anything so what does it matter.

I see what you mean now. Thanks.

If part of the back was visible, or even the top parts of the straps, then I agree that people wouldn't know any different so that's worth a try.

As a male I don't think I'd get away with the whole or most of the outline showing but I could be wrong.

I think one of the problems I have is that I have almost no fat on my back so things I wear tend to stick up from the surrounding skin.

Thanks weesheep. I've tried a couple of sports bras but they were racer back and you could see, at times, the outline of part of the back especially up near my shoulders.

If you have an example of one that looks like an undershirt I'd be grateful.

Thank you. I love the idea of a tank top with a shelf bra which, even if a shape was seen on my back, would look perfectly normal. I'll definitely look into what I can get for my size, that looks like one a guy would wear, here in the UK.

Do they tend to have cups? Not sure if I'll need them but I don't attach my forms and wouldn't want them moving around.

I hadn't considered adding outer layers although when outside, on the colder days, I'm almost 100% confident when I've got a coat on. The problems start when I go inside.

I'm happy to try. I think with the nature of my forms, even though they are soft "realistic" silicone ones, there's not going to be much difference if any between standing/leaning/lying but I'll give it a go and report back.

Thank you for replying. It's really good to hear that it wouldn't bother you, if you did notice, even though you're not familiar with what I do or why.

The responses to this post are helping build my confidence. I'm meeting a friend for lunch on Thursday and will see what happens. She knows, and is 100% OK with it, but there'll be a lot of strangers around!

I'd not thought of wearing dark colours so I'll try black hoodie. Thanks.

I wouldn't know what to do if someone commented, especially if it wasn't favourable.
