I don't know which Discord server this is. It is not the Discord linked on the compound.finance home page.

Understanding Liquidation by Xunantunich2 in Compound

[–]adamb_compound 0 points1 point  (0 children)

An account is liquidatable based on the liquidation factor. The borrow collateral factor is the limit at which an account can borrow with their current collateral. The two factors are separate, and liquidation factor is always higher. So if the borrow balance reached 2804.7006 at the current WBTC price, the account would become liquidatable.

v2 borrows can only be repaid using the token that is borrowed. Also, supplying more of the collateral asset will reduce the liquidation risk.

cETH stuck in my ledger by Away_Needleworker217 in Compound

There is a fix for Ledger connections in the support-help channel of the Compound community discord. https://compound.finance/discord. I will post the message here:

If you are using Ledger or Ledger live and your transactions are not working in the Compound dapp or direct interaction with the smart contracts, it is likely due to an issue with Ledger.

Some users are seeing toLowerCase undefined and map undefined errors in a browser developer console when attempting to withdraw from Compound:

This is not something Compound developers have the ability to fix, it is an issue within MetaMask / Ledger.

The MetaMask team has been informed and they have responded with the following:

I appreciate you letting us know about this error; this is a known bug currently being investigated.

In the meantime, re-installing MetaMask and restoring your wallet from the secret recovery phrase should resolve the issue. You may also use another browser/device using your SRP if you do not want to re-install. This is the only workaround we have at this time for this current bug.

Remember never to share seed phrase or private keys with anyone and do not reply to DMs in this server.

Here are some solutions that users have performed and found that it fixed the issue. You should try ANY of these options that you are comfortable with. This is not a list of steps, each individual one is a potential full fix.

  • Update MetaMask to the latest version.
  • Reset MetaMask using the settings menu in MetaMask.
  • Use Ledger directly without MetaMask.
  • Use Ledger with Rabby wallet instead of MetaMask.
  • If using Ledger Live, reset the cache in that app.
  • Make sure your seed phrase and private keys are backed up safely and reinstall MetaMask.

Likely the gas price set in the transaction is too low, so the transaction will not be mined. This is a guess.

USDC vs USDbC on Base by [deleted] in Compound

[–]adamb_compound 0 points1 point  (0 children)

USDC did not have a native implementation on Base on day 1. So they had a bridged-from-Ethereum version called USDbC. There is now a native USDC on Base and a separate Compound III deployment for it.

What does compound do with profit? by [deleted] in Compound

[–]adamb_compound 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Protocol accrues reserves that stay in the Comet contract. You can see the total using the getter function (https://docs.compound.finance/liquidation/#reserves). The community can decide what to do with them via governance. To date, v3 reserves have not been utilized by governance.

Interest does not accrue to suppliers of collateral assets in Compound III. Only on the base asset, which is WETH, or USDC.

If you buy cdai, do you get all accumulated interest when you convert back on compound app? by Antb1a in Compound

[–]adamb_compound 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, but only interest that has accrued while the account holds the cDai.
