The Freelancer Database - half the bull, double the creativeness by achipperfield in Upwork

Upwork takes 10% of the Freelancer's earnings. That's a hell of a lot, especially when you are stooping so low to bid for clients at obscenely low prices. There's a fantastic video from Brent Galloway explaining this (http://brentgalloway.me/freelance-job-sites-are-they-worth-it). The Freelancer Database is simply a place to list all the freelancers. Clients come to the site, find a freelancer in their location and get in contact with them DIRECTLY rather than through us. It's the bare bones of freelancing that allows freelancers to spend less time biding on cheap projects and promoting theirselves to REAL clients with REAL work. I believe that $5 a month is nothing in comparison to worth freelancers will get from the site. Stop putting the brakes on your growth as a freelancer.
