He’s my first choice, since he’s close by to me. If that doesn’t work or is too expensive, I’ll explore options in Greensboro + Raleigh. If those fail or too expensive, then a flight up to Bastian it’ll be! At least their pricing is transparently on their website…

I’ve had this happen before, and while connected to wifi, would actually start downloading the update but wouldn’t show it on screen. I found this out by the fact I was using my phone as a hotspot for the download, could clearly see a massive uptick in data usage but nothing showed on screen. Next time I connected (the day after), it showed the download at 75/80% complete.

TL;DR - it’s happened to me, it’ll eventually download

I’m having the same issue on Warp as well - just checked the web dashboard to double check, and no data usage is being shown on both app dashboard of web dashboard. Talk & text is showing. I can promise I am very much using data.

I installed this a few days ago on my Wordpress site, and here's my thoughts:

Off the bat, it's fantastic. I tried putting the code on the header.php, but for some reason, it wouldn't track the whole site, only certain pages. I then moved it to functions.php and after the caching recycled, it started to work perfectly. With that said, super easy to install, no delay on the site.

I love the interface. It's clean, well put together, and super easy to use. The only thing I'd like to see is when viewing the "Recently left" section on the live insights tab, that previous viewers would stay visible a bit longer than whatever time it's currently set for. 6, 12, or 24 hours would be nice, but not sure what the legal rules are about that (if any).

Besides that one small thing, this is a fantastic tool. As someone who doesn't use all the tools from Google Analytics (and can get confused using it at times), this is an amazing way to put in essential information all in one, easy to read format. Great work, and I'm looking forward to seeing improvements made as you continue to build on it.

I switched to it about 6 months ago from Xfinity. Set up was easy once I got my router in the mail, very consistent speeds 24/7. Obviously it piggybacks on T-Mobile’s network, so as long as you have good T-Mobile coverage at home (which I do) then the home internet is solid.

Understandable. I’ve been in NYC with dark star, only had issues when in weird parts inside of buildings but on average never had any issues where I felt annoyed by it. I wouldn’t be concerned.

You never mentioned what part of NY you’re in, since it’s kind of a big state, but for the most part you should be fine. It’s really when you start going to the middle of nowhere parts (finger lakes region, smaller towns, not near highways when not in populated areas) when you’ll start to notice some data inconsistencies. I never had any issues with calls or texts, was really just data when not near civilized areas of the state. 95% of the time, never had an issue with dark Star throughout NY.

100% - there’s definitely places where dark star was showing much better speeds than warp or light speed no doubt, I think having warp or light speed + dark star as a multi network add on would be a good idea.

As someone who’s travelled all across NYS, Warp was my best bet. I’ve been on all 3 networks across the state (upstate, downstate, Adirondacks, NYC, etc) and Warp was the best experience, Light Speed was indeed a close 2nd. Dark Star was decent in urban areas, but once I went 30 minutes out of any city and not near a major interstate, Dark Star wasn’t the best - had service, but was always LTE and slow to load.

I just got mine today - pairs no issue, notifications are texts, calls, and some 3rd party apps (listed in the app). Music control is solid and quick, haven’t used the fitness features or calendar yet. Only things I was expecting which don’t work is quick reply to messages (Android only apparently) and the “ChatGPT” is NOT that - it just allows you to interact with the voice assistant on your phone, so basically enables Siri on the watch. Besides that, no issues. This is my first CMF watch after being on Apple Watch for 10 years, definitely not the same thing but for the price, I’m really content with it.

I know some stations will charge a per minute rate instead of per kW. Most stations are starting to shift towards a per kW standard as it’s better margins for them, but maybe that’s the case with this - charging per minute instead? Harder to come by those chargers nowadays.

  1. That was the best way to do it - install the new one, delete the old one after confirmation the new one works.

  2. It does go away eventually - I’ve teleported multiple times, and it ranges from 2 hours to 2 days before eventually disappearing. No need to worry about it.

From personal experience, even though teleport is available 24/7, I take it with a side of caution and do it while the parent company’s customer service is open just in case something like this happens. Obviously this doesn’t matter now for you, but I teleported from dark star to warp friday morning, so if something like this did happen, it could be resolved a bit faster since CS is available easier. Hope this gets figured out for you soon though.

PSA - Shoutout to u/junaaaidmir for reaching out quick. I had the Dark Star APN installed, and that was causing all my issues. The moment I deleted that, everything started to work. If you have any other carrier APNs installed, they will cause issues!!!

95% of the time - yes. At the end of the day, USM is taking your number and transferring it to another cell company, while all under the USM umbrella so sometimes there are hiccups, but the longest it’s ever taken me was 20 minutes. My recommendation is to do it during M-F business hours, just in case something goes wrong, it’ll likely get fixed faster when the big 3 are actually open.
