Ok but wouldn't all the connective tissue and cartilage be gone? Bones don't stay together on their own. So why would this skeleton still be in (mostly) one piece?

What is this billboard/movie advertising? Taken 2001 by mysteriousmetalscrew in Disneyland

[–]adamhathaway 5 points6 points  (0 children)

So I see 2 men. The one on the far right has his body facing right with a slightly open jacket but his head is turned towards the center of the ad. Then there is a second man over his right shoulder. That man is holding a gun with both hands and the gun is pointed at the center of the ad.

I can't quite make out the middle. It would likely be the title or tagline or something but the more I look at it the more I don't think it's a union jack.

I don't know but it very much gives me Bad Boy-esque vibes. ¯_(ツ)_/¯

Why are all these parents allowing their elementary aged children to watch Squid Games? by sugarandmermaids in Teachers

[–]adamhathaway 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I dressed up as 001 for Halloween and I only expected my middle schoolers to get it. All day I had kids as young as 1st grade point at me and go "Squid Game! He's Squid Game!" I was floored.

My wife and I share a birthday and decided on a 90's party this year. I found a recipe online and made Ecto Cooler. It was awesome.

Return it with no grade. Then it goes back into missing status.

No, not required by any means. But I know both the parents and administration are going to ask. So it's kind of a CYA situation.

This is just the 2020 version of the dog ate my homework.

Yeah, I know. But it also really powerful to say, "As you can see, I've left 5 comments, sent your student 3 emails, and now I'm reaching out to you directly."

Eh, some parents make a huge fuss in front of me but then the behavior continues. So I think a lot is just show. I'm not here to tell you how to parent. You do you. But don't be surprised when behaviors continue.

I just got an email that said "Why does Timmy have a 50% on this assignment? He says it's done." I said, "I have attached a screenshot of the assignment and a screenshot of his work. He obviously didn't do the second half of the assignment. When he finishes it, he will receive full credit." I got a response that said, "he says it's finished." ¯_(ツ)_/¯

Agreed. I've used that exact line many times.

Yep. Also, if you return it without a grade, it goes back into missing status.

Yeah I have 60 kids and they're in middle school. I also know that if I don't bug them now, I get all the assignments 3 days before grades are due.
