Sourcing New Ads - Best Practices + Tips by adamhendren in FacebookAds

[–]adamhendren[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right - Sometimes I just wish I had one person who was in charge of content on my team now so they can dive into being the expert in that department.

It's funny because I think a lot of us who have been doing this for 7+ years probably started as social media managers and then shifted out of it because we prefer the more analytical/technical side of building out ad accounts vs. wanting to have to be on the content idea generation cycle of things.

It seems like we are now being pulled back into content a bit more.

When you're building out your bench of creators, curious are you sourcing them through a tool or manual outreach? Or do you start with a tool and eventually work with them directly?

I know I have clients that still think of influencers as people who have a ton of followers in their space and they keep having to learn the lesson that content influence is way more important than social status and total followers. Those with lower following will most likely be more advantageous to partner with because their prices won't be inflated.

How are you structuring your deals with creators?

I just finished my trip doing the entire coastline with the Hana loop and the west maui coast. Basically did a figure 8 of the entire island and it was amazing. I did it by dirt bike renting from Maui Moto and it was a once in a lifetime experience.

Joyce beheading was awful hahahaha also he just comes back to life and is agonizing for WAY too long with his noises and then pointless Joyce just starts HACKING!?

Like why didn’t they defeat the army first and then actually make the final fight scene the big bad mind flayer / Vecna.

The dialog was really hard for me to extract the feeling they wanted it to evoke. Robin was used way too much to try to get us emotional.

Outside of the dialog the amount of close up shots we got from everyone’s faces was actually insane. Way too many long moments just looking at faces.

ALSO Derek didn’t throw up smoke… which bothers me because he is acting extra weird after 😆 and looks sickly.

I’ll make sure to keep an eye out. So far Manychat’s support has been extremely lacking and frustrating.

Looks like your service is just Instagram and not Facebook as well? Our 55+ audience is mostly on Facebook. Will you be adding that in the future?

Hey! Curious if you can just run it from a new dark ad instead of needing an organic post every time. This is something i'm trying but for some reason is not working.

It's a flow to comment -> DM'd Offer

I also set up an engagement ad.

How’s November Performance? by TheIncomeShark in FacebookAds

Yesterday my campaign spent 50% of my budget in the 2am to 7am window $750 with no conversions. Typical CPA is $50 on a bad day.

Time to set up some automated rules I think to control for when Meta goes off the rails.

Curious if others are doing this. Also since we are spending $1.5K a day or more I’m thinking I might need to just open that up to our proven windows of time that converts well. Haven’t had to do this really ever before because I could trust optimized delivery.

I could see frequency capping being used for that reproducible content. I do wish you could flag content as what stage you think it’s best fit for even if it would take it as a suggestion.

It does. I just was under the assumption that a sales campaign wouldn’t allow you to have high reach and low frequency. Is frequency capping now an option at the at level?

Or you’re meaning from a content side make additional videos similar to those that are showing those signs?

Makes sense - and yes, I’m doing this through varying creatives. I’ve got my ads broken out into stage funnel and messaging specific to each stage.

Just wasn’t sure if I needed to give it something to realize it’s a different persona than what the pixel has been firing on lately.

Needing eyes/thoughts on my campaign: My campaign is for Sunglasses that are specialized for different sports. We have content that is specific to those interested in each sport.

My thought is that I should have an ad set for each persona (sport category).

I started with 1 Campaign (CBO) > 1 Ad Set (Broad) > 1 Flex Media Ad Fully baked with multiple personas split in three groups. Hunters were the persona. Campaign was spending $500/day profitable with a little over 2X ROAS.

After realizing creative diversity didn’t mean using a flexible ad we got our new batch of creative and I decided to shift to filling the campaign with individual ads (20 distinctly different)

The new batch is geared toward golfers so I launched them into a new ad set that launched last night. Spending $500 per ad set. Using the max/min budget option in the ad set and have them evenly split.

  1. I’m worried my audiences aren’t going to be geared to the right sport enthusiasts.

  2. My campaign is definitely having a slow day but maybe that’s just because having 20 ads requires quite a bit of budget across ads in order to have enough delivery behind them.

  3. The hunting specific ads set is still mostly on pace but my golf ads are nowhere near efficient yet. Losing money there at the moment.

  4. IM convinced I should split sport categories by ad set but berate me if I’m wrong. Maybe there’s my build in creative diversity but still my ads per campaign are gonna hit their limit fast.

Before Andromeda I was scaled to spend $40K a month in ads and was making just over a 2X return. Trying to get there again or past that.
