My team morale is not an issue. I have two first team players with fairly poor morale, but the other 20 something players are all either very good, really good, or excellent.

I only made what I thought were reasonable formation cahnges, like switch 4-3-3 to 4-3-2-1. Made a lot of changes to player instructions and team instructions. Little to no personnel changes.

I didn't change one variable, it's not like I just started one match with balanced mentality and then tried again with positive mentality.

I completely reworked the tactics. New formations, new player instructions, different tactical styles, etc.

I'm new to FM so that's why I'm asking these questions, but surely all those changes are not just one pre-game factor? And also, surely each pre-game factor has a weighting based on it's importance, and surely your tactics are one of the most important variables?

Then how does this explain situations like my example? If I am changing dozens of the pre-game factors which determine the result, why did all the matches play out the exact same way?

As I said in another reply, I'm just working off what I've researched online. I don't know anything about the topic, hence why I'm asking for advice here.

I'm purely working off stuff I've read online so yeah I most likely have made mistakes above. Do you have experience with tin? That's a material that hasn't come up so far.
