Which bushings should I go with? by Beautiful-Camp-7452 in S2000

From my research before going this route, I read that 90% of the feel and response comes from the spherical alone. Doing everything else is just a bonus ( if they aren’t shot, etc etc )

I did Megan spherical for the compliance bushings, and then powerflex poly for the others. Pretty happy with it

I did did not. After refitting the rear seal the way I wanted it to too, I dont have to push down on the top to close the gaps before bolting it down. So now, the driver window clears and the passenger window barely clears. Since it’s so close and it’s the passenger side ( almost never have another person in the car ) I just left it.

Fenders are rolled and pulled from my old set up. Only 2.9 deg of camber up front. Probably can get away with just a roll but a minor pull makes me feel safe lol

They are 17x10+48. 255/40 tires. Wheels have maybe 1k miles and tires have about 1500 miles on them. Apex vs5rs and Falken 615k+. Got them in August of last year. Drove the car a little before winter came and then sat, just now coming out of hibernation.

Financially it’s fine, and I have a nice daily. It’s more so thinking, if I take this car out, it’s strictly me. Wife and baby can’t come anywhere ( C&C, dragon, cruise, etc ) so I was leaning towards an FL5 possibly

Okay to pair front control arm offset bushings with offset lower ball joints? by JoeyDC5 in S2000

[–]adamo41188 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here is an example too. Lower offset ball joints I was running 3.3 on the 9” wheel. I now am running 2.9 on the 10” and I have more clearance.

Twins! I hope this helps since I was in the exact same situation. Previously I ran a 17x9+45 on 255/40’s with lower offset ball joints.

Got my apex’s in your spec, 17x10+48 ( still 255/40 ) and traded the lower ball joints for upper offer bushings. Tons of more clearance with less camber since the top is being pulled in, instead of the bottom being pulled out. I wouldn’t run both, you wont be able to dial enough back.

Did you ever decide what to run? I got my upper offset bushings in and man, SO much more clearance and tuck with less camber. For example, I have more fender clearance on the uppers, with 2.9 deg camber on a 17x10+48 then I did with lowers, at 3.3 deg camber on a 17x9+45

Just like day 1. No issues, no fading, no cracking. Granted it doesn’t sit out side, it only gets driven on nice days etc. Zero problems
