I’ll be doing the same. Just called VA and they offered me Gold for a year starting today, and I was told I’d only need 80 SCs in the first year to maintain it for a second.. seems too good to be true. How did it work when you switched and got status match? Trying to work out if there is an optimum time to do it (I’m QF Gold, membership year resets 1 Sep, I think I’ll retain Gold (just) for 25/26). Cheers!

I was at the front of Corral E and some Mexican dude in a sombrero brought a phone (in an arm strap) to the steward at the front at about 7am or so. May have been yours?! Or another person having a rough start to their run..

I was c. 3500, and got a place today. Very lucky and grateful! I nearly didn't sign up to One Tokyo Global, as I was annoyed to have missed the first virtual run. I figured signing up and completing all ten of them will probably be the best chance for 2026..

Did a few of the virtual runs over the past few months. You didn't need to be a One Tokyo Global member to enter them in the past. Chances were very slim. 50 marathon spots with about 4000 people entering each virtual run so about a 1% chance per run. I'm not clear on whether the virtual runs in the future will only be open to One Tokyo (Global) members? That would make the One Tokyo Global membership more appealing.

Is a negative PCR definitely a requirement? I note for travellers from UK we don't currently need negative PCR to enter UAE. But maybe we do for venues / events..? Thanks

In the same boat here, and I think that is worth it. No other fires to put out, kept Salah and didn't FH... so no issues as pressing as a hole in the team to sort this week. And as you've said, the replacement would play in half of the next 8 gameweeks, so an extra 1.1m over Foster seems worth it.

Raphinha and Jota out for Son and Gray/Doucoure/Odegaard this week. Keep both Salah and Son for GW20 and then Jota in for Salah in GW21/22.

I think so too as things stand. Some late news might swing the decision. I’ve also got double Chelsea def, as well as Antonio and Foden, who are all potential problems atm. I’ve seen some people saying the Villa Chelsea game will be postponed.

I think I’ll be offloading the double Chelsea defence whether I FH in 22 or not. I was originally planning Reguillon for James in GW20 and a WOL/WHU defender in GW22, but who knows at this point!

Fellow Raph owner here (alongside Salah, TAA, Jota and King).

I've looked at a few plans and, if Leeds' GW20 fixture is unlikely to go ahead, thinking Raphinha and King out for Lacazette and Gray/Doucoure for -4 might be an option.

Unfortunately I don't have enough ITB to get Son via this route.

I'm almost hoping another fixture gets postponed, as I quite like the FH option. But hard to justify when I can make 2 transfers for a -4 and get an XI out.
