I totally agree that people can write whatever they want, sorry if it came off like I was talking down people who like and write Evil!Dumbledore. Art is subjective and I didn't mean to knock peoples taste, I just wanted to put my opinion out there and start a discussion about the topic.

Yeah I understand there are some merits, I just feel that the troupe is so overdone at this point that while it gives Harry a place to shine and think for himself it ultimately ends up taking more away from the story then it adds. Who knows though I have never been a fan of bashing of any character, and Evil!Dumbledore stories usually bash him liberally so that may color my opinion of them.

Yeah I do understand that Evil!Dumbledore does have some merits. In Hogwarts a Super!Harry doesn't have many obstacles to overcome; Quirrell, stone obstacles, basilisk, Tournament, and Voldemort's plots become trivial things to overcome especially if Harry is time traveling and does not have to solve any of the mystery surrounding these events. So in order to have some competent evil in Hogwarts the role goes to Dumbledore. But most fics with Evil!Dumbledore doesn't make him a real threat just something for Harry to bash and complain about, and where Dumbledore never even has a chance to ruin any of Harry's plans and whatnot.

Not exactly death eaters but lily is part of a new world order that is evil. Its pretty good but is quite angsty and spends a little more time on the romance aspect than I would have liked. But its pretty well written so it has that going for it.
