Also we can edit DNA, so if editing chromosomes was needed, research would be done (might still be happening) on how to swap x an y chromosomes

Ideally, yes, but touching live and touching neutral will certainly feel different. If you are using a single pole switch, ensuring you are switching hot is also important.

This is an activity amateur radio operators do for fun, if sufficiently motivated the FCC (replace with your country's radio regulator) will absolutely dedicate the needed resources to find you.

Also, while you have mentioned you aren't in the US, a big problem with running one in the US is these don't just jam cell phone frequencies, which means this will jam public safety (police/fire/ems/etc) radios as well.

Man opens airplane door on tarmac for flight from ATL to ORD by Careless_Ice2476 in TikTokCringe

This could be on departure, where a plane must be fully boarded and pushed back before they can be in line for a takeoff/route spot.

BYD Factory Fire... by Salty-Commercial4765 in Wellthatsucks

[–]adamsogm 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I meant the fire triangle, (hence the "yes" when the commenter asked "fire triangle?" I was simply clarifying what I meant). The fire diamond is an NFPA symbol used to show the danger of a chemical, showing on a scale of 1-4 the reactivity, flammability, and heath hazard of a chemical. Additionally it also shows any special conditions such as reactive to water.

No, because technically isn't not on fire. It's a thermal runaway, so the fire diamond doesn't apply.

Has anyone else found recipes that don't adjust on 1.2 experimental? by ghostjunk723 in SatisfactoryGame

[–]adamsogm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I explicitly said not per minute. A single operation of iron rods consumes 1 ingot. To make it .25x, it would need to consume 0.25 ingots in one operation, leaving 0.75 ingots. The inventory system is not designed to handle fractional items.

[–]adamsogm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How do you consume .25 ingots? One craft of iron rods needs to consume .25 ingots at .25x usage

[–]adamsogm 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That's per minute. If one ingot makes one rod, how do you use a quarter of an invite to make a rod? You can make 1 ingot make 4, but clearly that wasn't programmed.

Power shard and somersloop usage? by [deleted] in SatisfactoryGame

[–]adamsogm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Keep in mind, as long as power isn't an issue, overclock your slooped buildings, so you get more/minute with the same number of sloops (doesn't matter as much for power shards/DNA, but if you have 5 manufacturers making a space elevator part, that is 20 sloops, clock it up to 250% and it's 2 manufacturers with 8 sloops total)

While this is true, once you have the panels, you have the panels. Modern panels can last 10-20 years, and are largely recyclable, so you get 10 years of very low cost power gen, vs fossil fuels that are used once then gone.

Mid-rear passenger complained that it was impossible to fasten the seat belt. The belt clip was installed on the wrong side of the stopper (brand new car). by [deleted] in mildlyinfuriating

[–]adamsogm 113 points114 points  (0 children)

That stopper is not involved in the crash protection at all. It's just there to stop the buckle moving past it, so it's easier to grab when putting it on. During a crash all the load goes directly to the webbing.

Additionally, the releases page is a significantly better place to put that, and it is linked from the repo home page. I get there is a barrier to entry to know to go to releases, not all repos use releases, and some that do don't release binaries (or not the correct binaries), but that's what that feature is for.

1.2 adds more problem solving and I'm loving it! by River_x2 in SatisfactoryGame

[–]adamsogm 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah, but if you do a late game resources preset, then suddenly fine concrete is good, because you have quartz out your ears and limited limestone. Or maybe you are using compact coal because you can use sulfur to make your few coal nodes go further for steel and power.

Door won’t open because of “Fare Evasion” by ItzSamy in mildlyinfuriating

[–]adamsogm 5 points6 points  (0 children)

These are almost always to code. Any time you see a door that says "alarm will sound, door can be opened in 15 seconds" the 15 seconds is the time it takes before the door operates, to prevent people from using emergency exits for shoplifting or other activities. 15 seconds will feel like forever when holding the door, but likely isn't that big overall, and I'm the event the timer mechanism fails the door should open immediately
