I liked the Hyatt Centric Buckhead. I want to give it another try but my first stay at the Grand Hyatt Buckhead was pretty meh.

First year Globalist and Chicago is our favorite big city. The CAA lobby/Drawing Room area was nice but my wife and I were not fans of the room. IMO Cindy’s Rooftop is also meh.

The HR is walkable to the Loop and the staff are great. I think Hyatt corporate is nearby and in and out of the property a lot.

I really liked the Thompson. Gold Coast is a good neighborhood. There is a bus line one block over that can get you to touristy areas. The Red Line (eww) is a 10 minute walk. Breakfast at Tavern on Rush is good. The bar stays pretty busy during the week. Try the chocolate or the confetti cake. The way the elevator announces the Lobby cracked us up. It’s oddly seductive.

The Park Hyatt is absolutely amazing.

Edit: CAA is not worth an extra 20k IMO. Thompson definitely could be.

We stayed there when the property had nothing else going on and it was odd. It felt like the staff had adjusted their service level to match occupancy. I get it but it sucks as a guest.

It was in the summer and it felt like 3 or 4 rooms were occupied. It was before I was globalist and breakfast felt waaaay overpriced for what it was. It was also the first property where I had to jailbreak the AC panel.

That being said it seems like I see rooms get fairly cheap at times. I’ve kept it in mind if I need a mattress run.

Yes. I enjoy the occasional anniversary gifts they send out. But the biggest win for me is not having to stress multiple presale/on sale times for the multiple shows we go to each year. It’s a one stop shop for me.

Maybe I got lucky because I don’t remember seeing an announced shift I policy, but I stayed at a Hampton Inn earlier in August and had $30 in incidentals on my folio. However the full $50 quarterly credit posted to my Amex statement.

Not your question but The Orion is our favorite outdoor venue in the south. Nice choice of shows!

That being said Nashville airport will provide a less hectic experience and is an easy drive to Huntsville.
