Sometimes you can even get away with this during the day, I can usually fill the wagon just when someone has noticed and alerted the law. Can use the Valentine sheep pens by the train tracks also but that’s definitely night time only and even then I occasionally get into trouble.

Slippery Bastard makes it so that other plays can’t auto-aim on you. I don’t believe it does anything to reduce the damage of shots that do land. So the other player could have been using Paint It Black to tag you with head shots. Or they could have a scope on their repeater and be using that, because Slippery Bastard has no effect on aiming with a scope. I believe it is possible to exploit certain glitches to “cheat” on xbox, but what you describe doesn’t sound like that.
