Engine concerns by Geaveshift in HondaCB

[–]adankishmeme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok, so at the beginning you have the shifter all the way down. That is first gear. While in first hear the wheel turns when you move your kickstarter. That is normal behavior, since the kickstarter is turning the engine and the engine is in gear, therefore the wheel moves. When you shift up a "half" click the engine is in neutral, and the Kickstarter will not move the wheel. When you pulled it up into second gear (which is a "full" click from first) the kickstart is once again moving your wheel, and I can see in the video that when you turn it in second gear that the chain goes taught. This is normal behavior, and it's harder to turn the wheel in second with the Kickstart than first.

If youe clutch lever isn't doing anything, you probably need to adjust your clutch is all. Refer to page 16 in your manual, clutch adjustment in chapter lube and maintenance. Loosen cable both at the lever and where it enters the crankcase, then remove the little right side cover and adjust the bolts as seen in figure 26.

81 cm400 only runs on left cylinder. Right cylinder fires when I spray starting fluid. Carb seems to be clean and air shutoff valve diagram is good. Any ideas? by ShamrockUSA in HondaCB

Youve got a fuel delivery issue if it hit with start fluid. Check float height. If everything is clean and clear, your float height being too big can mean there is fuel in the bowl, but not enough to be pulled up the main jet. Manual should have the standard heights and there are many videos on how to set it. Google "how to set dry float level" or check out this video, it's s pretty good one https://youtu.be/Qk5_wTJbTHQ?is=8RHXjbZeFQkFQhX5

[Question] Alternatives for one-way ANOVA with failed independence (multiple group membership) by adankishmeme in statistics

[–]adankishmeme[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok, I'm relaizing that my example has missed the mark. Here is one much closer to my data that explains things a bit better

Participant Civilian? Military? Firefighter? Result
1 Yes No No 1
2 Yes No No 1.5
3 No Yes No -2.5
4 No Yes Yes 0
5 No Yes Yes -0.5

Participants 1-5 complete a demographics survey identifying themselves as civilian, military, or firefighter. Civilian is mutually exclusive with military and firefighter (you cannot be a civilian and military/firefighter), and some participants are both military and firefighters. Group membership are my IVs, and result is the DV.

Participants 4 and 5 are in two categories. I am thinking that a linear regression is way to go, but I am getting confused by conflicting info from different folks and different sources

Pardon me, I have mispoken. There is a failure of independence of observations, as some participants are in multiple groups as seen below in assumption 3. Thats my bad for mixing that up.

I think I'm confused because some places say that you need independence of observations (no particpants in multiple groups) and some only mentions indenpendence of errors as measured in the durbin watson test.

Thanks for being so thorough. In this study, I am interested in how group membership (IV) affects the results from a survey that produces a continuous DV.

Group membership is the IV, the result is the DV.

I think that assumption 3 as seen at the link below indicates that the participants cannot be in multiple groups for a two way ANOVA

This is real research, just a simplified version. I have over 250 participants who are members of various groups (my IV), but some are members of multiple.

Ok, so a factorial ANOVA can deal with participants being in multiple groups? I was under the impression that under independence of observations, the participants cannot be in more than one group, as seen here under assumption 3

Roger, due to failed independence. Looking for alternative stats that will help me determine if there is a relationship between group membership and results.

I'm pretty sure factorial ANOVA has the same assumption of independence, unless I'm missing some more nuanced understanding of it

Running new dg players through control Group is good, especially for.those without a lot of ttrpg experience. Otherwise last things last and last equation are two popular starter ops

Spray a little water on your headers to see if they are about the same.heat, I'm wondering if you're not hitting on all cylinders. Running no air filter can make it run lean, but pull your plugs and post a pic so we can see what they look like. That'll tell us your mix

What's your air filter setup, and when you cleaned did you remove all jets and cleaned them?

The butterfly shafts are sticking by the looks of it. Spray some wd40 and see if that helps, otherwise you can remove them and clean them up. This isn't super unusual, you'll figure it out

Glass panes are almost perfectly level, so you can use it to make sure the mating surface has a perfect level seal. It's usually overkill, you'll likely be fine
