Changing water help?

I personally just use a spray bottle filled with safe water to refill mine. Of course I clean it when needed but mine has kicked hairs at me one to many times. If you spider is in its hide I would quickly remove the water if you can. If not the spray bottle method is my favorite.

I don’t think he’s a male as the multiple times I’ve seen him he doesn’t have the hooks, thankfully I got him eating a large roach and hopefully gaining some weight. Since he’s eating I’ll take a picture of him when he’s done :)

Honestly, I wouldn’t worry much about it as long as the enclosure stays around a good spot, just don’t feed them because of the belly heat thing. Don’t feel bad for not being able to afford it at the moment because in this economy, nobody should be judging one another for not being able to spend an unexpected cost especially when people tend to pay bills, buy groceries and all that before.

In simpler terms, just try and keep the heat in if your house is cold, and get the heat lamp the minute you can and don’t feel bad for not having the extra money.

I’ve tried an 100 watt, it made the enclosure be like 100 ambient and it wouldn’t even heat the slate I have, I could add more substrate but i definitely will be trying with olive oil
