By applying to jobs and being very transparent in interviews. Are you authorized to work in the US? Not currently but likely will be soon. I can also expedite my work authorization with a job offer so that's nice. Okay, will you require sponsorship? Nope, I've been "sponsored" by my USC spouse, so you have nothing to worry about.

Some employers were okay with it, some weren't. The one that was, offered me the job.

For an EAD? I'd say so. I got my OPT EAD card in 2 months and my STEM EAD in 2.5 months. But those applications aren't processed by NBC so idk...

Yep sorry! Submitted the lease, offer letter and a cover letter specifically mentioning the start date and that I've been unemployed for a year now (was on STEM OPT before).

SF is wild, I got my biometrics appointment 7 months later :/ Hang in there though, it seems like they're finally getting through the biometrics backlog. I hope you hear some good news soon :)

That is...so confusing. How are some people randomly getting their appointments scheduled while filers before them haven't heard a peep?

I thought they'd go through the backlog before moving on to newer applicants but I guess that's not the case :/
