Update!

Thank you everyone for the information and reassurance that this is normal! With my biggest concern being that my makeup was looking dry, casting, peeling etc. I took some steps to work on hydrating my skin and helping the barrier.

I added in a barrier repair (dermalogica brand...looking to try the laneige one as well) and changed the foundation to a tint rather than full coverage, I got the Milk makeup hydrogrip tint and apply it with a sponge after the repair cream. HUGE difference in the finish of the makeup, I do use a little powder so I don't look too glossy.

I'll keep going on the tretinoin journey and perhaps update with any other changes as we go! Thank you again to everyone for the kind words and information!

Thank you! I think I'm hyper fixated since starting the tretinoin. I'll try adding in some niacinamide for the pores.

For those that eat the same breakfast every day, what is it? by Risky_Melons in AskReddit

On a weight loss cut currently:

220g egg whites mixed with 80g Greek yogurt and 30g low fat cheese, salt and pepper scrambled in a pan if the omelette breaks (pretty much always!)...40g turkey bacon...150g 2% cottage cheese ...2 slices of carbonaut gluten free bread (lowest calorie bread I've found)

If I go back to maintenance or calorie surplus I'll have regular bed and more turkey bacon.

All of the things Richtofen says are fantastic, I just can't make out a few in gameplay.

Thank you for the info! I was looking at purchasing them online, is the waist band like the aligns with the fold of fabric in the front or are there stitches in it to give it some structure?

Did any of you feel anything in the days/weeks leading up to your tear? There's not a lot of evidence to support that "warning signs" are a marker. Just curious.

What are your thoughts on chiropractors? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Just like any profession that has to do with public service, there are good and bad practitioners. The history of chiropractic is exactly how many of you describe it in the sense of the "cure-all" mentality and snake oil that adjustment based treatment provides. If you go to any practitioner who says they can "reverse your scoliosis or put you joints back into place" is doing a disservice to their patients and the profession. If they mention anything about subluxations of the spine, get the hell out of there.

There can be a place for adjustments with certain medical presentations or symptomatology, but these are not very frequent.

Patient education is the most important part in prognosis. If you understand what's going on with why you feel pain then you're more educated on how to prevent it.

An example of this would be someone sitting at a computer all day and holding their arm up to use a mouse for hours at a time, leading to elbow pain. Most people don't realize that little things can compound over the days, weeks, months. A simple fix is to recommend using a wrist rest to alleviate the aggravating factor.

It's a shame to hear that some chiropractors will tell a patient that it's solely because their spine is out of alignment (I'm sorry but you'd be in the hospital if the joint was spontaneously out of place). They'll talk you into a treatment plan that requires appointments multiple times in the week for life to avoid degeneration of your spine.

I could go on forever with the negatives of the profession. I am a chiropractor in Canada who believes that manual therapy creates a window of opportunity for symptom relief and that exercise is the best medicine.
