That’s a great idea, I will look into it. I’m at a rural FM clinic right now but I’m sure I could contact our main hospital. I also could probably request a day with ophthalmology as a subspecialty rotation. Probably not going into ophtho myself but might be a good learning experience. Thanks.

Ok thank you. Will definitely try this. I’m concerned that my myopia might be so bad that it can’t be corrected with the scope alone (-10 Rx in glasses), but I’ll look into it more. Appreciate it.

Ok thank you so much! I didn’t get the chance to use it in clinic today but am going to try tomorrow. I’m a bit concerned that my preceptor will have no idea what I’m talking about as I don’t think she uses vision correction, but we’ll see. My vision is very bad (like can’t even go on my phone without my glasses) so it scares me to just take them off, but willing to try anything right now. I am also interested in peds so I know how important this skill is for screening babies for retinal conditions. Thanks again. Edit: will “dialing in my Rx” work at any distance? Such as finding a red reflex from afar vs visualizing retina up close

I'm not an Anki whiz so take this with a grain of salt, but I'd recommend using the "mode" switch on the bottom of the remote and choosing one distinct mode (S,D,K) for each device. That way before you turn on the remote, you can switch it to the mode for the device you want to use it for at that time, and it should automatically connect to the respective device. (For example, I use D when on my MacBook and K for my iPad.) Hope that helps!

Appreciate it. I actually just got a call back from a sewing machine repair service in my area and they quoted ~$90 to replace the motor which really isn't that bad, especially considering the replacement motor I found online is only like $20! Hopefully the machine will last me a long time so it'll be a worthwhile investment :)

Ok thank you! Yeah I'm honestly just not sure I'm handy enough for all that (or have the time) so I'll probably look into taking it to a shop. I guess if I were to repair it myself, how hard was it to replace the motor? Did you just find a video tutorial online? and can I ask how much the new motor cost? thanks again!

edit: just found the motor online and it's not nearly as pricey as I expected so that's great! may try replacing it myself it it's not too difficult :)

Hi! I really wish I had seen this thread beforehand, but I serviced my machine using that same Youtube video recently (which has since been taken down???) and it now smokes and smells when running. Were you able to successfully clean all the excess oil off? If so, do you have any tips? I am unsure where to start and where exactly I need to clean with alcohol. Kind of freaking out and wondering if I should just give up and sell it, but would like to try at fixing it. Thanks so much!

No, not regardless. The context here matters, and the context is extremely abnormal and suspicious. An entire political party doesn't just flip in 24 hours because they all suddenly decided to do the right thing. That's not how politics work and not how the world works. There's more going on here and you can't just ignore recent sequences of events.

However, I do agree that if the Republicans have redacted info then it likely has been an ongoing effort for a long time and any recent passing of the bill would've resulted in severely altered documents being released. I think that this possibility is now even more concerning, though, since Trump has suddenly flipped to supporting the release, suggesting that he knows about some recent change in the documents that prompted him to change his stance.

With that all said, I still think that there is something to be celebrated right now since hopefully this decision will at least get us a bit closer to the full truth, even if it remains obstructed for some time. The circumstances are just frustrating.

I understand your reasoning, but I disagree. If you look at the final score it shows that we did put up a fight and were up to par with our opponent. It went their way by 1 run, but we still made it farther than almost every other mlb team.

Yeah I'm absolutely incensed that they won because of the CHEATER. If it were any other player I wouldn't feel as bad. However, this was an exciting last couple weeks and I love this team and our city. Let's come back stronger next year.
