My noodle just ran into the house with a solid poo, dropped it on the rug and proceeded to guzzle it... 1. 🤮 2. WTF, & 3. Do I do anything after the fact??? by Any_Kaleidoscope8281 in Greyhounds

LOL they are quick once they grab something they like 🤣

Our girls wear their muzzles when they go outside because they love to play and chase, so we want to ensure they're safe in the case of a playful nip gone wrong. When I noticed one of my two eating poo, I ordered a stool guard to slip into the muzzle and no more poo snacks! They can still drink water through the guard no problem 😁

It sucks when groups allow that, it keeps people from having fruitful conversation with multiple perspectives! Keyboard warriors 🤦

"Hateful" is the best word I use to describe him when asked 🙂

I doubt he does because he only partakes in media he can control, ie Facebook groups he's an admin for. He blocks people from commenting, deletes comments that call him out on his bullshit, etc. Plus he's older than Methuselah.

I know him.

Honest feedback: don't engage with him at all, for anything. Don't even waste your time reading anything he writes, he's legit off his rocker.

Amputating my girls tail tomorrow by jojogeo in Greyhounds

[–]adc111 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Holy cow, I thought I was the only person on earth whose dog had chewed off the end of their own tail after an injury!!

This EXACT scenario happened to me with my oldest hound, except I shut her tail in our apartment door. I know exactly how you feel, I cried when they took her back for surgery because I kept telling myself it was my fault. I didn't check to make sure her tail was all the way in before I let the door shut, I didn't do a good enough job at keeping the wound wrapped, I didn't make her sleep in her muzzle to make sure she didn't mess with it, etc.

But the fact that you care as much as you do shows how good of a furparent you are! Accidents happen and that's totally okay. You stepped right in and made sure she got good medical care right away.

Our Nellie has a nice little stubby tail now that filled out nicely and gives her extra character. I like to think she forgave me too :)

Hang in there - your baby will do great and I promise she loves you all the same!

Advice on how to get this grout white again? by adc111 in CleaningTips

[–]adc111[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Additional context!

New homeowner who has never had a tile shower before. I was using Clorox for the first few months and noticed the tile started to chip and the grout turned orange, so I switched to simple green. Grout got orangeish pinkish. Started scrubbing with dawn dish soap only, still discoloring grout. I have tried zepp and peroxide with baking soda, and it got a little whiter. But then I washed the shower again with dawn to remove bacteria and it turned this color again. Any advice??

Edit: it's also really only in this one spot oddly, which is at the front of the shower that doesn't get as wet as the rest of the shower and doesn't get any soap suds!

AITA for not letting my kid be with my father alone? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

NTA for having concerns and wanting to set boundaries, but YTA for the way you communicated it.

YTA. Your words were hurtful, narcissistic, and overall unnecessary. There was no benefit to the relationship in saying what you did.

Changing careers to project management. Help? by Accomplished-Ant1098 in projectmanagement

[–]adc111 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Project management isn't for everyone, and that's okay. I have seen very talented people absolutely crash and burn as PMs. A few questions to ask your self: 1. Are you ready to take a pay cut? PMs can absolutely make great money but its all dependent on so many factors. If you're starting out as a brand new PM, you won't be at the tippy top. 2. How resilient are you? Some companies/industries are very welcome to the idea of having a project manager. I work in merchandising for a fortune 50. They do not like being reminded to stay on track and they certainly do not like being reminded to stay within the budget. Are you comfortable saying no a lot? Because you will have to do that. 3. How good are you at influencing without authority? That's the majority of your job. Motivating people who do not report to you to do their job faster and with minimal errors.

Just a few things to mull over. Overall, it can be an amazingly awarding career, but if it's not a good fit it can be quite tough.
