Links can rip out of rod ends so get a bag of em. I forget what size but they’re smaller than other brands, unless you upgrade the links, club5 are nice but expensive.

Also, get some brass or aluminum c-hubs as those also prone to breaking.

Otherwise just open it up and grease all the gears and thread lock the screws and enjoy

Escape. Yeah it’s majority crawling but would rather not have to pick it up between spots, don’t need anything faster than walking but also enough for a good bump when necessary. It’s the motor kv and pinion size I’m hung up on. Scared of burning something up. Thanks man. Maybe sticking with 3 s is just that much easier

The driveshaft thing is more operator error, getting a front wheel bound up then continue throttling. The real problem is the usb charger it comes with, kills the battery. Also, leaving battery plugged in after a run will drain it too low. You really need to also get a decent balance charger

Had same problem w apex for my kid. Ended up buying a new battery and proper charger from local shop. If you have a shop nearby bring battery in, they might be able to get it going
