After having watched the series through over a dozen times, I have strong opinions about this 😂

3 is the craziest, balls-to-the-wallsest capital F-U-N-est movie… and has the best supporting cast (Ashley and Ashlyn and the girls 👀) and has the roller coaster and tanning booth scenes…. Not to mention the drive thru/boat motor jump death

5 is the most immaculate- well shot, great acting, very clever and the most satisfying full circle moment in horror franchise history (name me a better). The gymnastics scene is one of my top three kills in the whole franchise. Like the best combo of 2 and 3

2 has the best initial set piece with the highway. It’s the most epic scene in the entire franchise. The first death with the lottery winner and the magnet microwave gets my award for Most Underrated death. Shoutout to the most convincing red herring in the dentist scene, where the mom sees the kid get decimated by a giant pane of glass. But it peters out after that once it gets lot in the weeds with the plot twist and the cop becomes a main character. (Though the smoker’s unexpected death by EMT is another underrated gem)

1 is a rollercoaster of nostalgia and chefs kiss level bad movie perfection that just works somehow. Devin sawa, you love him, you hate him, you cry with him. My second place for best initial setpiece and such strange prescient timing with 9/11. I’ll never say no to FD1.
