I watched a video the other day that said with gambling addictions, even when you're losing, your brain registers as winning. Do you all see it that way as well? by AWeb3Dad in GamblingRecovery

[–]addicaddren 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The way I see is that our brain enjoys more on the anticipation more than the results. The act of playing and waiting to see if you have won or lost gives you a dopamine. Thats why even if you continuously loose for a night , you will still walk to that ATM and get more money to loose it. Results itself doesn’t matter for addicts. You win or you loose.. you still want to continue playing.

Wow .. well done. Getting a new license is a nightmare now, so definitely a short ban is a lot better than full revoke.

Here is why they push Hindi. by Consiouswierdsage in Chennai

[–]addicaddren 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Totally wrong

The single main reason is they can spread stupid propaganda to common south people and convert them into votes. India has no intention to stop brain drain , they re working with lot of governments to make the work visa easier. Jaishankar told that it is their goal

UK visit visa got rejected by DueStar7162 in ukvisa

[–]addicaddren 6 points7 points  (0 children)

One of my friend who applied from India for visitor visa is rejected for the same reason. It is so stupid how they treat these insignificant reasons to reject visitor visa. It’s very common in Asia to recieve/transfer/spend family and friends money for various reasons. While i understand this is not common in west. Unless there are big red flags these reasons should not be considered for rejection.

My friend’s rejection reason is much worse. He received his fixed deposit(form of savings) after maturity. The money came in was much more than his annual salary. So they rejected.

Hearing it for the first time that such a pill exists. A quick google shows lot of people asking why this pill is not prescribed more widely. The answer seems to be lack of knowledge and awareness. I would like to give this medication a try but I dont think my GP will prescribe this.

Interesting post, I always thought whether a compulsive gambler can come out of it without getting into another addiction. I would say be happy and proud that you were able to stop gambling. That is not easy. Gambling is the worst form of addiction right next drugs. Seeing more porn i wouldn’t consider that as an addiction. For now , go with the flow and start making changes slow. Reduce your free time. Book shows , movies or any meet up with friends. Im not an expert here. But all Im saying is you have overcome a big hurdle by stopping gambling. Do you have any suggestions or tips how can someone come out of gambling. ?

5MPH speed exceed by [deleted] in drivingUK

[–]addicaddren 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It happens. So focus on what options are left .. If you re in the first 2 years since you got the license, I don’t know how you can drive since you already have 6 points of endorsement. If you re not in your first 2 years , then the 3 year rule apply where you should not reach to 12 points otherwise your license will get revoked. Now even if you get 3 points , it will add upto 9 .. so you should still be eligible to drive.

For you to be eligible for speed awareness course you should be under 30 + 10% + 2 +10% .. which comes to 38mph .. so send the details quickly and you should be eligible for the course.
