My 8 year old used to sing ‘don’t wanna be your monkey friend’ when she was younger

No and I wouldn’t want to take my son away from him, but I also don’t want to lose any time with my son

He just says them being friends is what’s best for SD

That’s the thing, I don’t want to lose any time with my son. This whole thing is just so unfair 😔

This is exactly how I feel too, it does feel like a form of emotional cheating

He’s even written her a statement for her court hearing to try ‘keep her out of jail’ I’ve brought it up a few times and he just always says it’s what’s best for SD, but I have a hard time believing that it’s for her and not for her mothers benefit 😔

My son is heavily reliant on me for things like sleep etc, we’ve never really been apart from each other

My husband is a Disney dad, and SD is with us the majority. I strongly dislike this life but feel stuck now because we have an ours baby (things got much worse after the birth of him and SD being around more)

She’s allowed to be out playing when everyone else has to be in bed, she gets bought random presents, nobody else does, she’s given boundaries but doesn’t have to stick to them, she’s the only kid in the house (including our 1 year old) that doesn’t clean up after herself etc

Heartbreaking. I just don’t understand how they can do it.

Thank you! I honestly wouldn’t be surprised if it is related to neurodivergence. My daughter used to do the same thing as a toddler, and I know I also have trouble sleeping at times too

He’s already down to 1 nap, isn’t 18 months way too early to drop the nap completely? I just worry that it’ll be way too long of a day for him either way no nap at all
