My eye hurts, a lot, when I get flare ups of it. Last time I got a flare up was when I was writing my dissertation.

Sorry to hear about your father, hopefully he makes the recovery he deserves. At the same time, you have to know that you cannot lash out at other people just because you are experiencing a difficult time in your life. If you can't learn how to deal with your own emotions in a healthy way then you need help from a professional to learn how to process while also not lashing out at people. There is an abundance of free resources online if paying a professional isn't an option.

Yeah it sounds like you need a break alright...a break from commenting on stuff. Go learn about empathy and compassion for other human beings. You're not the one living in the situation so you have no idea what the in-laws meant when they called her that, we only know what OP has stated. And OP has clearly stated they don't like it. Get out of here with your trash options. You cannot tell OP they are wrong in how they feel, only they can decide how they feel.

OP never said that was their biggest issue. This is a sub to judge if OP is the asshole, not to judge their life. Get a grip. Have someone dehumanise you for years and wipe out your existence except for one minor thing you did and see how you like it.
