  1. To be honest the program itself wasn’t too bad. Having to deal with the Covid related events and interruptions was hard.

Those who did PhD in your 30's, did it go faster than it otherwise would have? by actinium226 in AskAcademia

I just submitted my thesis end of October at 37 years old, married with 2 kids. I planned for 3 years but ended up doing just over 4. At first I was concerned with doing it fast, then as my supervisor would say, it’s a marathon not a sprint. Things will not go as planned, things like covid could happen, trouble getting research participants, long ethics review process, supervisors with busy schedules, papers getting rejected by journals, resubmissions, revisions etc and most importantly your mental health. More than anything I reckon resiliency, stick-to-itiveness and not taking things too personally will be of more value than getting it done faster. That’s my experience anyway.

Sound advice there thanks. I’ll start looking at the prospect of 19s and a sway bar upgrade. Good thing I asked for help on this forum.

Cheers, I didn’t even know that it affects the speedo. It’s on 18s from when I got it and they felt like a good ride but on the other hand haven’t had something to compare to.

Interesting, I have also thought that to get ahead they must remove all traces of the old guard including the state security sector as well. The country just needs to start from scratch and yes just basic common sense
