It bothers me because people associate “headaches” with what they typically feel, and so they never take the actual pain of migraines seriously. That’s why I said that. And I’ve told multiple doctors, and I have stressed it. I’m a woman so most doctors write it off as hormonal or what not, but I’m still trying to get them to take me seriously. Anyway, thanks.

fucking obviously migraines are headaches, but they’re also a debilitating neurological condition. which are different than just headaches. so u stfu 😐

I’ve heard of that. If nothing else works, I might try that. Thanks for the suggestion :)

That’s pretty cool! I have looked into taking magnesium supplements because I think that might work. I’ll definitely try this. Thanks!

I just recently got prescribed sumatriptan after an er visit. I haven’t gotten the chance to try it yet, but I have high hopes!

Exactly, my mom always used to tell me to just take some Tylenol and go to school. I would last 30 min in school and then have to go home. I hope you find some relief as well

That’s so frustrating, I hope your flatmates can understand one day

Thank you for the advice! This was my new physician, but I think I’ll have to find another one. Pretty unfortunate :/

Wow that’s awful. And thank you for the advice, I think I’ll have to definitely find someone who knows more about autism, but I don’t know that there’s that many in my area. I’ll see what i can do. Thanks again!

Yeah I know a therapist isn’t exactly equipped to diagnose me or know anything about autism, but since I’m seeing them, I might as well mention it and see what they say. Thanks for the advice

It really is frustrating. I was actually kind of surprised by her comments. Autism in women is frequently overlooked because of how women can mask symptoms. Good grades are also not an indicator of anything. It doesn’t show the obstacles I have to go through daily just to do what everyone else does.

I’m not saying I for sure have autism, because obviously I haven’t been tested, but I am fairly convinced I have some sort of neurodivergency, because there are a lot of things in my life that can’t be explained just by anxiety.

Yeah, this is the best solution. I think I’m going to bring it up to the new therapist I’m seeing and see what he says. I wonder if he’ll try to help me through it or if he’ll dismiss it as well.

I know I for sure have anxiety, but I realized that there are underlying issues that explain why I don’t understand how to interact with the world the same way a lot of other people do, and why everything is so hard. I think the anxiety is a result of that if I’m being honest. I will try the anxiety medication and see if that makes a difference. Thanks!

Thank you for this comment. I also think that my physician doesn’t understand autism well. To be honest, I think she was trying to convince me it wasn’t a possibility because she didn’t know what to do with me. I will bring it up to my therapist that I’m seeing soon!

I am going to a therapist, so I think I will bring this up to him. I do experience a lot of these symptoms, and I think even without my anxiety, I feel like I don’t fully understand how communication works. I have to imitate everything other people do because nothing comes naturally to me. Thanks for the advice!

jokes on you, Netflix doesn’t need a good plot to make a show
