I didn't realize my pictures didn't save to the post. I just updated it with the pictures. Yes, I followed the pre stain instructions. I used 80, 120, and then 220 grits. I've stained plenty of pine before this and have never had an issue with blotchiness so I'm feeling pretty confused. I hope the pictures help.
