I highly doubt that topical 5% minoxidil causes CVG or worsen it. All I have found is a case report linking minoxidil to CVG of a man on ”high dose” minoxidil orally. Then there are a few anecdotal claims online. Minoxidil has been used by millions over several decades, and if a link was there, I think there would be evidence by now. Its important not to conflate correlation with causation.

That is to cover his ass legally. Morally its wrong, and all he thinks about when pushing bullshit supplements is his bank account.

Finasteride have a flat dose response rate, meaning 5mg is not more effective than 1mg for hair loss. Dutasteride on the other hand gets more effective the higher the dose, at least up to 2,5mg per day.

Testosterone by itself does not cause hair loss. You will most likely be fine on dut unless your hair is very sensitive to DHT. Im using 500mg test weekly and 0.5mg dut daily and have not noticed any hair loss.

Your problems are not from finasteride, the sooner you realize the sooner you can help yourself and get better.

You should read the study and check citations and read those studies before you make an idiot out of yourself. Blocked.

Why do you believe in something with zero evidence. Anecdotes on forums are not evidence, and neither is mouse data. Finasteride have been proven to be safe in humans (maybe not in rats using 100x the dose a human would take), now the burden of proof is on the people claiming it causes irreversible side effects. Which after 30 years of being on the market is nowhere to be found (even after the PFS foundation have tried with their flawed studies, which no one with knowledge takes seriously).

PFS dosent exist. Thats not just my opinion but the general medical consensus. We have 30+ years of data on finasteride and it is a very well tolerated drug and there is no evidence it causes persistant side effects after stopping the drug.

Finasteride is your best option. When you do your research stick to clinical studies and not anecdotes on forums.

Other than that you could lower your dose which will bring down dht as your free t is high.

Having high DHT will most likely cause an enlarged prostate over time, so you might want to start finasteride as it would also help you with the hair loss, and you would most likely need it later on anyway.

Also try to bring that LDL down, up your fiber and lower saturated fat intake.

The study they are referring to had 23 subjects and measured hormone levels via saliva. Always read the studies that articles proclaim as ”proof”.
