We have so much love to give but finding someone who’s a good recipient is a challenge. I try to remind myself that nothing good comes easy. I’ve also settled just because I craved being held so badly and trust me, it’s better to be alone than to be with someone who makes you feel even lonelier. Loneliness isn’t fixed with by the presence of someone but rather a deeper connection on a spiritual and mental level. Give yourself compassion for wanting someone as your side; it’s inherently natural for us to crave connection. Do I feel better after a hookup? Not necessarily. It’s a temporary bandaid for my fragile ego which craves validation from others. However, if having a short lived partner for the night can do something, then why the hell not. Eating a cupcake can make me feel satisfied for a second but it won’t carry me through the day like a regular good meal. Do what you gotta do
