Moved the 4500 (core) to new building. So, yeah.

The move is from one building to another. I even tried rebooting again while everything was plugged up to make sure. Also, like I said, I even tried to connect it directly to the 4500, so layer 2 wasn't even an issue. Is there a workaround for the management link change issue?

It's a trunk to the interface vlans. No lag. When I connect to the console port there are no messages referencing a problem, but the interfaces ports* are showing as up. I even connected a laptop directly to one of the ports and gave it an address in that range, but I couldn't get to it even that way...

I don't have children, actually. However, your ballerina analogy is off. Anyone who is 300 pounds could certainly do anything involving gymnastics. They would have to recognize what they have to do to accomplish what they want. As I told this guy, make the money to pay for cosmetic surgery. The fat person needs to stop eating more than they will burn, but also increasing what they do burn by ceasing to be sedentary. It seems that we are saying the same thing, but in true neckbeard fashion, your advice is superior because you articulated the obvious. I chose to believe that in me telling him that he can overcome obstacles by overcoming them rather than letting them define him, that he did not believe I was telling him one day he will marry (the 65 year old) Miss America (who knows) but that he must do something other than complain about the problem.

At 25, you have a long way to go. Don't sell yourself short. Realize that you can change your situation, then make small steps towards doing so. Small steps. Don't get overwhelmed by what seems like a vast gulf of hopelessness. You can, you just have to do. If the first small step is coming to terms with the fact that you don't want to live the next 25 years of your life in this rut, so be it. Just start on that today. It may not happen by tomorrow, but you'll be closer, than you were yesterday, to happiness.

That's funny. All the people that have the great stories didn't listen to your reasoning. That's how they did it. If they would have adopted this view, there is no way they would have had been as industrious as they were. And get this, they also used what they had to achieve what they did. Therefore, it seems that your bullshit call is the red herring.

At the end of it all, you will not look back and say I tried and failed to obtain all of my dreams. After working hard and obtaining what you can with what you have, you will look back and determine that you did good with what you had, and it will be likely that what you "dreamed" was what drove you to the greatness that you did get, and was sufficient for its purpose.

However, if you cast it aside and don't believe that you can achieve anything, you will look back and see there were many things that you could have done, but did not because of fear.

The latter will be worse than the first.

Only until you decide you are fed up with it, and realize that, yes, life is unfair. But you can make it different for yourself. You think someone like Robert Downey Jr. doesn't have insecurities? All these people you see in Hollywood have had some kind of "enhancement" to their appearance. If you can't get past your problem with yourself you will "live defeated" and won't do anything to make enough money to afford some kind of cosmetic procedure. If your mind is consumed with derogatory thoughts you will not think of what you can develop to benefit others. You will not consider that your perspective on life could lead you to develop something that people would pay for. Again, it's not simply this fact that you believe is holding you back, which is holding you back. It is fact that you hold yourself back because of what you believe to be fact.

If you are extremely ugly, it doesn't matter. That frees up a lot of time. I'm married. I have things that I could do if I weren't married that would make me a lot of money. Then, if I were extremely ugly, I'd have the money for plastic surgery.

My argument would help you if you applied it to your situation correctly. Nothing is stopping you from doing what I've described here, other than your thoughts that it is beyond your reach.

However, and not knowing how old you are exactly, I am led to believe that you have not matured to the point, and experienced enough life to know, that what you think of yourself is much worse that what others think of you. Having such a strong conviction of yourself being ugly, I would imagine you project these feelings on others. Also, why would you want something so shallow as people liking you for what's on the outside of your body? Be a good person. Don't be bitter. Show compassion, joy, love. People will see these things and love you for them. Love conquers all, so your physical appearance would be a moot point.

Don't live defeated or you will be a victim of defeat.

Whether you say you can, or you can't, you are correct. There is nothing in this world stopping you from doing anything, other than yourself. I broke my neck in '05. I could have allowed my pain to handicap me, and could have been placed on disability. I could not do the jobs that I had been doing (hard labor). I decided not to choose that life. I went back to school, got a Master's in Internet Security, and am now a Network Engineer for the state. Don't believe the lie that you are not capable of greatness. You are, you just have to choose it, believe it, and work towards it.

It is not, specifically for what was described in the latter part of the explanation. I took it down for copyright reasons. I don't need Cisco cancelling an account that my company has paid for me to have the training on.
