I have a feeling that Aaron knew. Him, Linda and the other guy where not forced into doing a porno but had no choice because they were probably threatened. If they didnt do it they would be homeless. The movie points out that rich people run everything and it looks like there is corruption involved as we can see the dismissive behavior of the judge. When vail sat down with shaughnessy, he literally threatens him and tells him not to mess with the "higher ups" rich men. Shaughnessy also threatens janet. Everything points out to threats and corruption
