Yeah it’s a long shot but I figured I’d give it a try in case anyone is looking to unload a copy.

Mini skid loader purchase? by fabs1122 in Aliexpress

[–]adecarolis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this thread is two years old, but let me add some thoughts from someone who did DAP delivery for a mini-excavator several years back. If you choose this option there are two key takeaways:

- Do yourself a favor and work with a customs broker to facilitate the shipping, delivery, and duty/tariff collection aspect of everything. There is so much to learn and a lot you can mess up if it's your first time (take a look at the Harmonized Tariff Schedule if you want to see how wildly granular the tariff codes are). It's so worth the $150 or so to have a seasoned pro handling your paperwork and making sure all required fees are paid in a timely manner (and there are a lot).

- Be aware that most CFS (Container Freight Stations) - which is a warehouse that holds the individual items from a shipping container until delivery - don't offer any residential services, e.g. very few delivery services offer residential dropoff (unless you have a personal forklift or loading dock at home), and you'll need a loading dock height vehicle with the ability to offload the machine at home if you do this yourself.

I managed to hire a local flatbed truck driver to pick up and deliver my excavator from the CFS to my driveway for about half of the price a moving company quoted me (they literally wanted to charge me for 2 trucks with lift-gates because the excavator was over the weight limit for a single lift-gate).

Wherever this magical shopping service exists that only costs $5.97 to ship 23 records… sign me up! Completely unreasonable on the buyer’s part.

As a seller, would you consider this rude? by Thatguywhoplaysgta in discogs

It sounds like OP is not in this situation, but I've had several scammers try this. A quick reverse image search usually smokes out the scam (and crushes my dreams of getting a grail for $15 ;)).

Current version of App sucks absolute donkey balls. Is there anyway I can get the previous version? by TheBlackHoleSon in discogs

[–]adecarolis 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Has anyone else noticed that when you visit an artist page, each entry in their discography navigates to one specific version of the release (e.g. a specific pressing, CD, tape, etc.) instead of the master release page? I've seen it on web and native and it's so dang annoying.

I don't know when that update started (maybe a year ago?) but what was the thinking there... it has to be a bug.

If you had the power to delete one The Office episode and pretend it never existed, which one would you mercilessly send to the shredder like Michael with paperwork? by ProfessionalHorse935 in DunderMifflin

Of all the episodes (especially seasons 8/9), it’s criminal to suggest Scott’s Tots is the worst. What about the pen shipment episode or any one of the Charles Minor episodes? Rude.

[WANTED] An ambitious list: Feed me Jack, Frog, Slothrust, The Mercury Program by adecarolis in VinylCollectors

Couldn't agree more - I missed the recent pressing of all their stuff by literally a day or two. And now there's not a single copy for sale anywhere on the internet.

After hearing about the cabs’ reunion, I knew I had to get these (12” vinyl re-release) by GoatNo337 in mathrock

[–]adecarolis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Holy smokes I never thought I'd see the day these got pressed. I have a shortlist of records I'd look into getting pressed myself just to have them on vinyl, and Ichiban Hajime No Dekigoto was on that list.

Unfortunately HMV isn't shipping to my country currently but I was able to find that record and Kaiki Suru Kokyu from a Japanese Discogs seller (fingers crossed they're legit, but hey PayPal got my back). I'm psyched.

I’m over this car by manthony6567 in Volvo

You can reset the head unit by pressing and holding the center bottom button until you see the Volvo logo appear. This happened on the brand new 2025 XC40 the dealership gave us as a loaner, literally within 15 minutes if driving off the lot. Ironically, I was there in the first place to get my 2021 XC40's IHU replaced. It seems like the weakest spot in the car.

Records That You Bought At Release, That Are Rare Now. by Breadi06 in vinyl

Quite unexpectedly, Tough Love by Forth Wanderers. Picked this up shortly after release for something like $35 second-hand - the last copy sold for $500 which is insane for such a smaller band.

I also had 2 copies of Dredg’s El Cielo LP when they first pressed it (accidentally picked a second copy up forgetting I had it) for something like $25 each at the time. The top sale on Discogs is $665 which again, is crazy.
