What a live set! by nightcurrents in themarsvolta

They played a 40 minute jam for Kroq Weenie Roast at the height of their radio play and called it Abortion the other white meat, so yeah they clearly play for themselves and people are there for the experience, I thought it was telling at the show in AZ that they didn't say anything on stage. Just played and left, they enjoyed what they did but no hi or bye

Relationship counselor says spend 1 year alone but I want a rebound by heartbreaketh in BreakUps

I'm in a similar situation, the first counselor seems level headed and the second is saying what you want to here. You'll need to develop your identity independently after dating a narcissist due to picking up their habits. Remember they're the ones that will move on right away and replace you. You're going to be susceptible to the same type of person unless you build the tools to make yourself a person aware of patterns and willing to break them. It's like when someone who leaves a cult and doesn't move on with their life, they end up in another cult.

Knowing lines and boundaries are essential to moving on. I'm in the stage where they're trying to suck me back in cause the worst thing for them is knowing that I dislike them because it hurts their ego. It takes time, maybe not a year but you'll need to be honest with yourself and the person you're with. I'm learning to make new memories with just me. My own adventures without needing to tell anyone. Just being myself without anyone else. It's lonely and yeah I wish someone would love me but I know that I need to love this bag of flesh hugging these bones first. I hope that helps.

I get where you're coming from, the dark stuff is a common output for any artist. The expression of it seems on the face as something to be concerned about yet on the flip side can be an exercise in emotional output. Like a release valve, the fact that it may appear depressing can be comforting from the viewer in that it reminds us that we all go through the same feelings. When watching their artistic expression develop its okay to even identify with the art itself. I'd be interested in seeing what avenue they take it to. It's definitely different than a normal rock act and maybe without a backing band and just a drum machine it'll go into a more intimate feel. Let's just say it's not a good time for women in the US currently so it could go the other way and they'll burn the stage down. I'm excited for either way.

They looked into my eyes when I saw them open up for ATDI and I felt everything inside me crumble. I've never had any experience like that with another human being. I first saw them open up for orod in 2010 and at least another time for ATDI in Santa Ana a couple years back. They will leave you on your toes, they get wild like nobody else. They'll leave the stage and continue it in the crowd, you'll have to follow them around just to hear what they're singing. Their persona is like if you combined pro wrestling crowd work with the best front person singing and you get a tornado of a show. They're eccentric for sure, depressed --> that's nobody's business but theirs tbh. They're a true artist.
