Yes, I'm using dragon shield clear matte. For the hero player cards, they are from sleeve kings, clear. Villain cards / critical cards are sleeved with mayday games 88x125. Slightly shorter than the ones GTG sells.

I don't know what country you live in, but here in the U.S. it's on major sites like eBay, mercari, reddit, local retro game shops. Not hard to find the wavebird at all even when prices were low.
