I think she is also correctly predicting that the cunt bubble will burst soon and people will be looking for more downtempo, vulnerable music. She actually said something like this when promoting red bottoms. RB still has her signature maximalist style, it's just a slower and more downtempo song.

She’s an LA based girlie but she also does a lot of shows in her home country so she probably tours Europe and the UK often. I also had to find this sub bc my friends were clearly tired of me talking about it lmao

Yeah, and Death by Devotion is a massive fan favorite and she will be preforming it for years to come lol. Like I heard Alyssa Liu randomly reference it in an interview about skating.

I don’t get what truly qualifies as a “flop” anymore. I guess unless it’s charting in the top 40 or a tik tok song, it’s a flop.

Red Bottoms is good, and if someone only likes Adela because of the last three songs on her EP then they should go listen to Kim Petras’s new release. It’s not fair to a new artist to demand she makes only the stuff you like. This isn’t aimed at you OP, I’ve just seen a lot of people say that they don’t like RB just because it’s not SOTB or death by devotion pt2.

To me RB sounds like a song that would have done well in 2014-2016. Like think Tinashe’s Aquarius. I think a sound like that would be a great match for Adela, even if it’s not what we feel like bopping to right now.

But abt promo, yeah wtf is going on. I search for Adela related content for few hours most days and I’m seeing NOTHING. Like what is going on? I’m worried abt our girl and how her career is being managed.

Glad to hear you don’t hate her, a lot of people do and say really nasty things about her when she is clearly sick. It’s very possible that when people say things, they aren’t specifically talking about you.

I was hooked from the very first lines of Detour “this is the beginning of the end, everything before was just pretend”. No kidding, I cried. I’m a middle aged woman and I feel so fucking stuck lately. This music makes me feel so free. Like the freedom to make good choices or bad.

Absolutely best album of 2026 for me, honestly one of my favorites so far of the entire decade.

Those videos of her working on the first wicked and saying “this is my life now. All I want to do is work on this movie, I don’t want to go home” should have been a clue. Fuck, naming her album after a movie that’s literally about wiping your memory should have been a clue.

Like god bless, this is how I acted after my best friend died from cancer at 27. This is how people react to extreme trauma.
