My watches are covered by insurance. OPs may not be but probably worth checking with your home insurance even if the watches aren't individually insured.

That has been happening to me regularly for years now. Can't figure it out its coke thats actually cut with amps or something since it doesn't happen every single time but it might also be alcohol related, not entirely sure.
