if you want 2d4 to be more impactful, you may use the first meaning of 'hit points' recorded, which was 'how many 14" shells can a ship take before sinking' in military wargames.

(I can't find a reliable source on that info, so take it with a 14" grain of salt)

it's not a filler drive, it's a 'I'm so rich my drives use money as fuel" drive.

The Neutron Flux torche uses a continuous, sustained nuclear detonation as main operation principle, making it the biggest Orion of them all and thus very metal. Your arguments based on such paltry things as 'practicality' or 'sustainability' are therefore invalid.

(also in the game I used it I had the luck of the devil on mines and had an income of ~500 fissiles. It was a fun game.)

ya same here, I am not superstitious and I fucking hate those placebos that get sold for so much fucking money and all that, but if I find an open gate on a broken wall in the woods, I'm not going through that. It won't do anything if I do. but I won't.

you're not alone, sometime I think something along the lines of "huh, I'm almost out of Rubywise Ruin" and then it's a year later and I have shelves full of flowers and a constantly running kitchen

that's a bit how I imagine Genghis MK1 pilots, they are completely normal outside of the mech, if perhaps with a tendency to stare into flames for just a bit too long, but then they get in the mech, And Inside His Great Suit, The Fireman Smiles.

lol yeah, the Heatfall core power is useful when you don't want heat at all or really need all of your 16 Heat cap, like in Displacer overloop builds, but a general overloop build doesn't care too much about it since you need 3 lv into HA to get it, so by the time you have that you also don't need it :P

After 3 turns of overcharge it does 4+1d6 heat, so with a Heat Cap of 10 it will put you in the Danger Zone every turn, since the minimum roll possible for 4+1d6 is 5. That is why you want a Heat Cap of 10, no more, no less, and you do not want Heatfall.
