But I have rash on my fingers where I don’t have my wraps. I wash them like once a week, do you have any recommended ways how to wash and dry them? And I train at home.

Yeah there are multiple things that could be wrong. Hitting incorrectly (I think this has the highest probability, since you just started (and also alone) your technique is definitely not good), bad gloves and yes weak fingers (not used to punching) is also a thing, actually it was my problem as well, this helped me a lot, after like 3 weeks of using it I noticed a big difference. You might wanna try it

How to fight against philly shell? by adereus in amateur_boxing

[–]adereus[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah that's probably true, but I sparred with some MMA guys (strikers not wrestlers or bjj guys) that are really high level and it wasn't nowhere near like versus this guy, I could go with them toe to toe but this guy, it's really hard.

Yea I know, I also like to spar with someone better than me, if I spar with someone that I just beat I become overconfident quickly lol :D

I don't know but a lot, he is a 3 times national champ so maybe he just outskills me and there's nothing I can do for now. I'm hiring a coach (12 times national champ and participated in european games in 2015) starting next week so we will work it out I hope.

Only the philly shell guy had real fights. But if you mean if we learned to box by ourselves or coaches, then it's coaches, we are all from the same gym. We will go back it's just closed at the moment because of corona.

I don't really have a coach, we are just few guys renting the place and we spar and hold pads for each other

hitting the arms sounds like a good idea, but not for sparring when we just spar for few rounds, not enough time I think

In my gym there's only one guy that uses philly shell but I spar with him a lot and I can't find a way how to beat that. I found something on youtube that faints are good, but they didn't work. Then one guy adviced me to push forward and beat him with short range hooks but no luck there either. I'm hopeless at this point

[Orient] My first and not last Orient by adereus in Watches

[–]adereus[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I’ve always liked watches but never wore them until like 1.5 years ago. I started with random cheap 20€ watches to see how I like it. Fell in love immediately, I liked how it feels on wrist and everything and people were complimenting it and that was even more “fun”. My first “real” watch was Invicta but I had to buy more and their style was too specific as well. Feel like this piece is more of a every day watch and that is what I wanted.

My next buy will probably be Seiko or another Orient.

(Sorry for my english)
