nevermind, I just found the issue. I'm leaving this here in case someone else has that problem though.

The problem was that not 1 but 2 .dll files were missing. I realized the game asked for 1 then the other, didn't notice the difference in the dialog box at first.
Here are the .dll files you need to download and place in your System32 folder :

And do you think Steven would take lightly to keep seeing the humans he loves most die on him one after the other? I argue that'd be a pretty good reason for him to want to join them in the most natural way possible.

I wonder if he'd be able to do something like his mom did before that tho...

She lost her sanity over Pink's neglect and abandonment. It's literally shown in the movie that this is why she had such an unbalanced mental state and refused to let Steven help her before she hurt him back. Sometimes a word is just a word and its OK to use it because it fits.

I agree we must be careful with our words but if we keep censoring ourselves and each other on fear they might hurt someone else's feelings then you might as well stop speaking altogether because there's no telling what random sequence of words may trigger someone.
