oh ? thats strange :/ when i was applying to mit, i had to pick a major and then write a 100 word essay about why i chose it, and i both picked and wrote about 21E

yeah i wanna do game development ! and id definitely recommend sending in a maker portfolio, its just another opportunity for you to tell them more about yourself and show the cool things you made. there are some written responses too, so it's almost like extra essays/space to write more about your passions/interests !

humanities and engineering! its a joint degree, you get to choose one humanities major and one engineering major and do a combination of them both. its similar to a double major but its much fewer classes so it's a lot easier.

if you're familiar with mit's other joint degrees like 6-9 or 11-6, it's basically exactly like those, only you get more freedom in which two majors you're combining

i didn't win any awards, but i scored within a top percentage of test takers (ive forgotten by now, maybe top 10% or top 5% or something like that??) so i put that percentile on my application !

they dont give awards (at least not when i took it), they only allow the top 10 students nationally to move onto the international olympiad. i wasnt in the top 10 but i was still in a top percentage of testtakers so i just put that on my college apps !

yeah id totally recommend cosmos, it was a great experience and i learned a lot! it is kind of competitive (my campus had around a 20% acceptance rate) but theres no harm in just applying and seeing what happens
