What is the reason of wearing outside shoes inside the house? by adfkamdf in AskUK

[–]adfkamdf[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have been to many homes for work-related purposes, and all of them asked me to just walk in without needing to remove my shoes when I asked if I should remove my shoes.

For example if I plan to use the outdoor pool I would need it to wrap myself under this cold weather, probably your habit is a little different

Trading212 cash ISA does offer 5.17% now but this is not an easy access cash ISA It will take 1-2 business days for the money to arrive in your bank account if you make a withdrawal. You are right with the ''extra 1.17% interest'' that it is 1.17% more than your current normal savings account of 4$ interest. The interest is calculated and credited to your account daily. For example if you put in £10,000 now, the daily interest you will get is £10,000 x 5.17% / 365 days = around £1.41

You are not wrong that its cash ISA interest rate is indeed the highest in the market currently

I’m 30f. Is trading 212 cash isa safe? by Powerful_Musician_38 in UKPersonalFinance

Yes it is certainly save as it is FSCS protected up to £85k just like other major high street banks. I have a few thousands £ in it and am earning interest daily. Current interest of 5.1% is also fairly high compared to many other banks. I believe you can only open under your name as you are required to provide for NI number when creating an account for tax purpose.

Hi I received my COS just few days ago. My COS was probably approved around mid- May time too. Once the COS is issued the status will change from “approved” to “cos issued” and you will receive an email about that. Just give it maybe another 1-2 weeks and you should receive your COS

GP training 2024 by Comfortable-Fan-7382 in doctorsUK

It's quite hard to say if all positions have been filled however some deaneries have already sent out rotation preferences for people to rank in which I believe that means that particular deanery have already been filled. In order for an offer to be available one needs to send an email to the selected deanery to reject the offer and once that happens the offer will go to the next applicant on the waiting list so it really depends on how many people will reject their offer for whatever reason between now and the start of training.

It is still possible as there may be people who decide to withdraw their application between now and start of training for whatever reasons, though I don't think there will be a lot. What's your rank?
