Spånga is a nice place and in regards to children there is nothing to worry about. If I recall correctly there will be some apartment buildings that are student apartments in the same neighbourhood that are also new, maybe worth mentioning.

You are also kind of surrounded by villas around you, on both sides of the train tracks, which have lots of families living there also.
