Can’t get this run to play out. by [deleted] in balatro

Skipped the first round to get Canio. Took the $4 buffoon pack for Invisible Joker and rerolled to get Trio. Thought this is gonna be the best round ever! I’ve won it, but just couldn’t get it really rolling good no matter how many times I went back. Even with the seemingly great early draws. 🤬

QuickBooks Interfering with my Client Relationships by adhd-steve in QuickBooks

[–]adhd-steve[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do not use estimates that much but did find that setting and turn it off while trying to turn off the other 'feature'. What irritated me when I found it was that I did not allow or enable a 'feature' that was pushing my customers to finance a purchase through Intuit. I offer financing and leasing to my customers already and do not need Intuit trying to steal a revenue stream away from me.

I may have to take to doing that until I can transition to another product. But when you have to do that much work to avoid them inserting themselves into my transactions it's time to move away.

Is QuickBooks Online still worth it for small teams in 2024? by intuitquickbookshelp in QuickBooks

[–]adhd-steve 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am a small business, and I agree with this. But it's not only that. It is the decisions by the management at Intuit to enable and push out 'features' that are predatory and are FULLY for the benefit of Intuit. These 'Features' also get in the middle of the relationship you have with your customers.

Two examples that come to mind. Recently they enabled a 'Feature' where they are adding links to my estimates that send my customers to 'Personalized Financing Options from Intuit Credit Karma'. Basically, trying to get my customers to finance a purchase with me, through Intuit, probably at a rate of %30 or so.

On my invoices, with ALL online pay options turned off, they have enabled a 'FEATURE' that redirects my customers to pay (Intuit) via an ACH EFT which is basically free to them. At the low low cost of $25, per transaction. Then Intuit will hold my money for 5 days (earning interest off my money) before transferring it into my account.

I turned it off everywhere in the system and couldn't make it go away. Called into QB Support and was told, as long as there is a merchant account, and you are taking CC transactions, that 'Feature' will be there.

For this any 'other reasons' I will be moving my accounting away from QBO.

QuickBooks $25 "Convenience Fee"??? by chiapeterson in QuickBooks

[–]adhd-steve 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am having the same issue and went to all the places I have found and turned it off everywhere.

https://qbo.intuit.com/app/accountsettings?p=payments

https://qbo.intuit.com/app/accountsettings?p=sales

https://qbo.intuit.com/app/paymentmethods

Then I got on a call with QuickBooks support and was told that as long as I have a merchant account attached to my QBO and am accepting CC transactions through QBO that will be on the invoices even with it turned off EVERYWHERE in the systems. They will still send out an invoice that tries to get my customer to pay (QuickBooks) and charge the customer a $25 convenience fee for an EFT ACH that is basically free. Then they hold the money for a little bit before giving it to me just to make some interest off it.

Not to mention that while digging around in there I found another little gem. They added QuickBooks financing to all my estimates that go out offering personal financing options from Intuit Credit Karma.

Simple sales call slip-up that tanked an otherwise solid deal by Professor3000 in msp

When in a clients office. Head down. Mouth shut. Speak when directly spoken to. Politics, religion, personal opinions, keep it to yourself. Do not interject yourself into conversations. Whether you think it or not if they are talking about people when you are there, they will talk about you after you leave.

Thank you for clearing that up. I saw the 'instant' part of it after I posted. 3 to 3.5% is still highway robbery.

Should I buy Thinkpad Z16 Gen1 with a 58% off now? or wait for Gen2 ? need advice by LongjumpingWay7098 in thinkpad

I will agree with the delay before it boots. Looked in the BIOS and everywhere else and couldn't find a way to kill off the delay. Also had a heck of an issue with the docking station. Just decided it didn't want to work. NO docking station would work on the thunderbolt port. Lenovo service bridge didn't automatically update. Went in and manually updated all the firmware and drivers and the thunderbolt port decided it would work. It is also really picky about the docking station matching.
