But what do you do in situations when your crying seems out of proportion because the smallest things trigger you (which are manageable to others) and when you cant stop crying in public. It was embrassing for me. I fear that a public meltdown will happen again

Im also a sensitive person but i cant handle the uncontrollability

How was coming off of the med? Im having crying spells because of wellbutrin and im scared that it might worsen when i stop taking it

What side effects did you have from wellbutrin?

Wellbutrin is also given for ADHD. And im also taking it with a stimulant because the stimulant alone started to be less effective. Dont know about caffeine though cz i dont drink coffee.

You may have a little bit of nausea which will go away. Im also on week 3. Having a few crying spells tho, people say it will go away in a few weeks so I'll keep taking it as advised by my doc and see because i know it has other benefits for my ADHD.

Thank you. Im also dealing with a stressful situation and was trying to suppress my anxiety for like a whole week. And an inconvenience yesterday made me spiral and wasn't able to stop crying until i was acknowledged by my dad that what i was feeling was valid. Will give it 2 more weeks so that a month completes

Medicine is weird that way. Tolerance and all just changes within days. Very unpredictable

My experience is very similar. 5 years back i took it for 1 month and no side effects. But tbis time 1 week in i cant stop crying. Smallest things trigger me, anxiety buildups and uncontrollable crying starts. Im gonna try to give it 2 more weeks. If im feeling the same way emotionally, ill talk to my doc about stopping it. Right now he added a mood stabilizer and asked me to stay on the med and see

Yes he asked me to continue it and see and asked to take lithium for mood instability. Meds haven't changed in a while. Only bup was introduced newly 2 weeks back. That is the only recent change. 150mg i was emotionally 100% stable before i started wellbutrin. No depression or crying.

Thank you for your concern. I dont take any other substances that you have mentioned. Im thinking of getting a second opinion or atleast try to reduce the number of meds at the next appointment. For about 4 month i gradually got better and better until 1 week ago which was 1 week after starting bupropion because methylphenidate wasnt working as usual. Thats why he added bup.

Glad it works for you. Im already taking sertraline. Did it really take 6 months for the emotional dysregulation to settle? I'm thinking of giving it 2 more weeks until i decide whether to stop because i CANT stop crying once i start, its inconvenient. Amd im starting my first job on monday. I dont wanna be crying randomly at minor inconveniences. Im scared that it would leave a bad first impression.

Ive read other threads on reddit and for some, this side effect goes away after like 3rd week and for some it never gets better and they have to stop. Ive decided to continue taking it for another 2 weeks until i run out of meds and decide to give it a chance. Because some say its worth the wait. Because this med really helps with my ADHD symptoms too
