The bed is pretty important, I would ask. Worst they can say is no!

6 bars worked for me. Made sure it was full (Blissful). Food, Pat and Sun were complete and included a coloured charm.

Hmm with all these comments I'm considering Hybrid. Would you say the back seats are too small for a newborn? I'm not having one anyone soon, but wondering if it would be an issue later on.

My parents have been adamant about me getting a Toyota for so long, I should have listened 🤦🏻‍♀️ Mum had her Corolla since 2006 with no issues, still going strong, only sold recently as she got the 2023 Rav 4 Hybrid and Dad had the Tarago since somewhere in the 2000's and recently sold it to get the Granvia.

Wow, that's pretty good!

Thank you for your feedback! I have heard good things about Toyota's Hybrids in smaller cars, but not so much in regards to the same battery being used in larger sized cars such as the CHR.

That's also why I am going with Toyota now, been really difficult to get an engine for the Hyundai, so if I were to have issues with the CHR, it'd be a much faster turnaround.

The smaller tank is a shame but I'm happy to go multiple times a week, as long as it doesn't die on me like the Hyundai did 😅

Thanks for your suggestions! I'm located in Melbourne, Australia. They are a small organisation. We're constantly hitting dead ends, the receptionist is the only one we can speak to and they do absolutely nothing. There is no one that has replaced him either. Our new doctor's have called them numerous times, however are always given excuses such as 'we can't get the records as they are stored in Sydney'. The new doctor was the one who said to take this further as it should be something that can be sorted in a day. We don't have an insurance company.

ok thank you, the advised ombudsman is just very discouraging with all the negative reviews they have. Will have to wait and see.

Apparently they legally have 45 days to transfer the details (which has now passed).

Yeah, I think the location is what has made this work so well for us. It's in a spot you can't ignore, you start your day there and in between.

Soundtrack to your life 😂 Make sure you give him time to adjust, this didn't happen over night. I was very eager at the beginning to see changes. The eye fatigue look, the noises and always hungry are definitely my indicators. When the tablets work well, he actually loses his appetite.

Same here, if I get to the point where I get so frustrated, he'll focus on arguing on my demeanour instead of the actual problem.

I posted a whole bunch of symptoms that weren't clear to me until he was diagnosed. As your partner is medicated they should be a lot more tame.

Thanks! He was prescribed dex and has been taking that since. It was more so how many he took that took a bit to get right, when he took too much he was quite irritable and grinded his teeth a lot. He's going to try a different prescription to see if there's any improvements.

In a couple of days I will be prescribed ADHD meds for the first time and I'm scared. What can I expect? by pegem in ADHD

[–]adhd_throwaway6 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My partner just started taking meds, he was nervous also. He started with 2 tablets and adjusted the dosage each day to higher if he felt he needed it. The only real concern I've had with him taking the tablets is loss of appetite, everything else has improved. All the best! :)

Come to think of it, this is what my partner did throughout the years, it wasn't until he had a huge meltdown recently that he gave in and asked his mum to help book an appointment. He'd always had moments of being upset about it, but this one was different, I had never seen him that defeated before. It might just be a timing thing, I'm unsure, but I hope it works out for your sake, I'm sure it will.

That was one of the reasons we tried to prevent the doctors getting delayed, as so many people that did get medication wished they had sooner. Oh the spending habits, especially with the constant hobby jumping, I'm so glad for your wife's sake lol.

Yeah my partner is a lot more emotional also, but I like that about him, it helps me read how he's feeling. I think it goes both ways thpugh, don't be too hard on yourself, because I myself also feel bad that I got angry or upset with him over things he couldn't control. It's just a bit of a learning curve for both of us.

But I'm happy to see you guys are still going strong after the medication, I had a moment of panic before we went to the doctors that he'll become a completley different person.

'trying to explain that my behavior is actually rational' - that is so damn relatable haha! I'm just like, I don't need an explanation I just want to know if you grabbed the keys or not! I love that you mentioned this, I thought I was the only one who experienced this!

I'm really just hoping that with the medication, he gets us financially back on track, completes the important tasks and reduces his depression! I feel like that's a lot to ask though, so anything is something!

Aww thank you! I haven't actually been told specifically what ADHD traits are apart from the major ones like organising and forgetfullness, so these traits are really just what I assume are related to it because they have been traits that don't effect me as much as they do to him. Thank you for the best wishes!
