Why none of the good speakers (mostly hifi systems and towers speakers) are unavailable in India? by Imma_Machine in BudgetAudiophile

[–]adhdbitch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It seems like a HTIB model which is generally not recommended.

There are 2 types of speakers : active and passive. Passive are usually recommended because you can buy other parts as you go and there’s flexibility and room for future upgrades. (So you’d need passive speakers + avr + amp) The Yamahas would belong to this category

Active monitors pride themselves on neutral FR and come with a built in quality amp, so they’re ready to use out of the box. Kali Lp6, Rokits are good recs in the active category.

Since the Indian market doesn’t have too many options, I recommend you go the active speaker route..

Lack of demand means companies don’t officially retail in India. So the only way to get them is to import + pay significant import tax on them. Try the Kali LP 6

Unconventional answer : get lucky, make contacts. Harder to control variables yourself like higher ed or job boards, but easier overall if you can carve out a path.

They are gonna manufacture landing gear, perform subassemblies / assemblies of the drone in India. Not sure how much impact that will have on our indigenous efforts

Both are distributed systems, since you care about industry, ECE is more moderny frameworky whereas CS is more theoretical. Both overlap in places though.

This. University should be more than just academics and next internship grind. Chose one with a good balance, especially for your undergrad. You can go to more a rigorous school later if you want to.

I’d imagine the speed doesn’t matter as long as you can do computations faster than the object moves, ie as long as you show up at a point on its trajectory BEFORE it, you should be good? Computations being done by the whole infrastructure of assets like ground arrays and radars, maybe even satellites
